When people talk about a cure to autism and related "disorders", I want to know are they primarily talking about a kind of "magic bullet" that will turn you into an NT overnight? Or are they simply wanting to only alleviate that major handicaps that autism presents while leaving other non-harmful qu... |

I always take these kinds of studies with a grain of salt. First of all, did they include a suitable sample size? Not only does coming to a conclusion based on only 235 subjects seem a bit sketchy, but you don't even know the ethnicities or genetic predispositions of these subjects. Secondly, how do... |

I work in the ITS department at my school, and lately I've been noticing this particular co-worker of mine. Whenever I speak to him, I notice that he always talks slow and very properly. He seems quite withdrawn and introverted, and I've never actually seen him display any real emotion in his voice,... |

There's no real substance whatsoever in any of this. Those video clips are laughable. |

Does the sight of a distorted image make your skin crawl? I mean, an image like this one http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/676/distortedlaunchfo0.jpg or this http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/3569/23107811lq8.jpg I've never liked looking at images like that. They just creep me out for some reason.... |

Come on guys, how about some more names of a group of Aspergerian? Like a meeting or almost a cult "not in a bad way".

Oh yes that used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. It feels like being locked into place. In fact, sometimes when I try to move myself, I actually dream that Im moving when in reality, Im still stuck on the bed. I havent had an episode like that in a few years though. |

Its a type of stim, in which you move your hands around by the wrist. Here's a video. (sorry, but it's kind of short. if you want more, just search "hand flapping' on youtube).
This isn't my hand by the way....

It all depends on preference. To me, saying "Asperger's Autism" would be better than that "syndrome" label anyday. |
