I wonder how long until all of these public high proof alcohol dispensers start to be questioned. This is begging to be abused by alcoholics. I know people whose alcoholism is so severe that they drink the stuff. And yet they provide this high alcohol content hand sanitizer in psych hospitals, etc ... |

It might be easier to tell a white lie that is easier for people to understand. Say you are allergic to most hand sanitizers but will gladly wash your hands with soap and water if they can provide. Well, I'm technically psychologically allergic to it. Anyone who begs to differ is invalidating my co... |

Well, I don't live in America and my country is containing it very well. ScoMo and the state premiers have been doing a good job. |

I don't get the big deal with hand sanitiser. I have never used hand sanitiser in my life. I just wash my hands with soap and water. Recently I have been washing my hands a bit more 'properly', rather than giving them a quick rinse. I don't see the appeal of putting stuff on your hands and not wash... |

I have not heard of stores requiring people to use hand sanitizer to enter though, so that does seem a little odd. What kind of store was it? Maybe you could carry some wet-wipes on you, so if you run into anymore situations like that it would probably be fine if you use your own wet wipe to wipe y... |

During this difficult COVID19 pandemic I have constantly had to stand up for myself and my sensory issues when it comes to hand sanitizer. Just today I was challengened about my sensory issues regarding hand sanitizer. I was told, very forcibly, to use the hand sanitizer before entering the store. I... |

Hey guys, you may have noticed that I started a new tocophobia thread. I've been reading through this old one and was wondering if any of the tocophobes mentioned in this thread (you know who you are) would be interested in answering some questions for my blog/book. I would greatly appreciate your h... |

Ana: sounds like you definitely have tocophobia. Would you mind if I included you under a pseudonym in my book as a case study? I am yet to have an example, other than myself, who has ASD. Can I ask you a few questions about your tocophobia? If so, just PM me asap. Thanks, I would greatly appreciate... |

I'm not happy with this thread; I'm not getting the results of research that I want and women who have had children posting in here are causing me a lot of trauma in their responses by going into way too much depth; have some respect! If you had read my blog you would know that censoring is the best... |

Joe90: perhaps you would better off with a surrogate? Then it's biologically your own child but you don't have to go through the p-- process. How did you get tocophobia? How long have you had it? |

Yes, it is directed at you, sorry I should have made that clear. The p- word is very triggering and your descriptions are too graphic. I know you didn't mean to offend but I am a little. If you had read my blog you would have realised that tocophobes can be triggered by certain words, etc. I make it... |

Perhaps you should have put a trigger warning, certain words and descriptions freak me out, that's how severe my tocophobia is; just a heads up for next time. I have ASD and I have known of at least two other women who have tocophobia who aren't on the spectrum so it does happen. I'm just researchin... |

It definitely is a rational fear, but I feel that you are misinterpreting tocophobes; the phobia is so severe in some women that it would mean their death if they ever found out they are with child. I'm not trying to be melodramatic, I'm just telling you the truth. |

Hi all, I'm writing a blog (that I might turn into a book in the future) about tocophobia. Here is the link: https://tocophobiaovertea.wordpress.com/blog/ The blog gives info about tocophobia if you are unsure as to what it is. I'm researching the link between ASD and tocophobia. My psychologist men... |
