Yes it is very common, I have comorbid ADD, generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder and it's been suggested that I be evaluated for some form of OCD.

My school (America) has a full year schedule and looks like this
1st Period- AP English Lang
2nd Period-AP Bio
3rd Period- Honors Pre-Calc
4th Period- Religion
5th Period- AP US
6th Period-Lunch
7th Period- SAT/ACT Prep
8th Period- Honors Spanish 3
9th Period- Musical Theatre
