Sometimes. I will feel guilty about talking about Doctor Who so much and spending my money on Doctor Who action figures and plushies and books. I feel like I should buy more "useful" stuff, but the moment I see something at Hot Topic or on Amazon, I feel like I need it, even if I don't. Y...

I agree to getting seen by a specialist - but it's not always that easy/easier said that done. In England, services for adults seem few and far between - I've had to be referred outside my area (Clinical Commissioning Group), and it's take four years, three GPs, a cognitive behavioural therapist, a ...

1. Social phobia - which is much better now, but it's a work-in-progress really; it won't just go away completely. 2. Agoraphobia (although I can go out every day now, but I used to stay inside for weeks or months at a time) 3. Major depressive disorder - only diagnosed three or four years ago, desp...

Orange squash and water.

Don't know why though, I'm bloody freezing. But we're out of milk until tomorrow.

I attended mainstream school from the age of 4 until I was 12 (primary from age 4 until 11). High school at 11 (normal in England, I should add) and only survived one and a bit years. Primary school didn't meet my emotional or behavioural needs - I tend to think this was down to doing well with hom...

The media portrayal of emotionally cold genius geek who has horrible fashion sense and when the news tries to class us as unpredictably violent or dangerous. I get really mad that anyone would immediately assume all violent criminals are neurodivergent or mentally ill. I hate that too. I mean, espe...

Occasionally. In the sense I've used it five times in the last eight and a half years. The first time I used it was purely by accident because I picked up the wrong cigarette. The second time I used it was just to try it out after we grew some for personal use. The third and fourth times I used it w...

Hello. You can call me Laura - that's not my real name, but my mum visits these boards and I want a degree of anonymity. I'm 24 and not diagnosed with an ASD or ADHD-I, although it is suspected I have them both (along with OCD and dyspraxia). I have been diagnosed with dysgraphia since I was 9, desp...

I'm suspected to have inattentive type ADHD and caffeine does absolutely nothing for me unless it's a really strong coffee, which I don't have often - it gives me panic attack symptoms and then I suddenly crash, get agitated, sleep paralysis, odd dreams...I didn't realise this until a few weeks ago,...

I'm conservative because I'm conservative. I'm a product of my upbringing, if anything. I'm the only Tory supporter in my college class (which has led to some amusing situations this week alone). I was actually undecided what I supported before I started college, but I always assumed I leaned politi...

I automatically roll my eyes and stop paying attention if there's a stereotypical portrayal of autism on the television, especially if it's some socially-awkward person and that is literally the only reason they're being labelled as autistic - because that's not autism, that's being socially awkward...
