I meant cool as in, things that are generally used in rock/pop music...guitar, bass, drums, keyboard. I'm not good at any of those. I've played all the wind instruments before since, like a previous poster, I did my bachelor's degree in music education. I own trombones, a euphonium, a trumpet, and a... |

Nice to see the variety of tastes...I pretty much agree with Spaceplayer about the validity of different types of music...it's all in what you do with it. I play trombone mainly...so it's no surprise I'm a fan of Mahler, Wagner, Shostakovich, Bruckner, etc. But I also see a lot of beauty in Czechgua... |

Are there any other classical musicians or classical music fans out there? I know I can't be the only aspie out there...
What do you play? What are your favorite composers/pieces?
I'm a big fan of German Romaniticism and brass music... |

I totally understand where JohnH. is coming from, as well as AspieMartian. I think you probably are both right and both thinking the same thing. There are some rock guitarists who are very mediocre and can't play or solo on any song that has more than 4 chords, but figure something out that sounds c... |

I am uncoordinated when it comes to doing 2 different things with each hand, such as piano or guitar or drumset. But I play trombone and other brass instruments, and it doesn't get in the way there because one hand just has to hold the instrument up (for the most part) while the other moves the slid... |

Thanks for all the replies. I have thought at various times that maybe I have ADD or maybe have hypoglycemic tendencies or something...a physical last January showed normal blood sugar though. My dad is also a probable aspie and slightly bipolar, so I'm not ruling out a comorbid thing like ADD. I al... |

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I find that this was one of those times when just typing it and putting it out there has helped me to get it off my mind...after I made the original post, it was like a weight was lifted from my back. It was significant at the time because I rarely remembe... |

I'm wondering if this is a side-effect of being aspie, or maybe something else? I just have a really hard time getting myself to focus on important tasks a lot of the time, and i also feel like I have no energy and need to eat a snack pretty often. When I do, it makes me feel better for a little whi... |

I had this weird dream last night, and I was looking up at different places that tell about the meaning of dreams, but nothing quite covers this situation... In reality...I'm a graduate student, 25, happily married. In my dream, I think I must be back in college as maybe a freshman? but at the same ... |

This wasn't a real front page news thing, but it was as far as the sports section...I was at the baseball game when Randy Johnson pitched a perfect game against the Braves in 2004...that's pretty cool since it's been done less than 20 times in 130 years of pro baseball... a few months before Colubmi... |

Anyone else here into classic sports games, like RBI Baseball, Tecmo Bowl, etc? I think I own about all the good baseball games made for NES as baseball has always been one of my aspie obsessions...Bases Loaded, RBI Baseball I and III, Bad News Baseball, Tecmo Baseball, Legends of the Diamond, Baseb... |

I have experimented with contacts a few different times...from 1996-98 and again last year. I always had trouble with them drying out or being not very breatheable, so the second time, I tried RGP lenses. I had a better experience with them, but decided contacts on the whole weren't for me, as I lik... |
