Not entirely sure how to put it, but I find myself constantly on edge when around others, and simply terrified when alone. I have depression, and my mind easily wanders, and these traits generally help each other in keeping me from being able to do that well in school. For the past couple years, I'v...

La La Land is a very good movie (although likely not deserving of all of its nominations) with beautiful cinematography and a great performance from Emma Stone, not to mention its catchy songs. Director Damien Chazelle doesn't disappoint following up Whiplash, although the two films are quite differ...

I never really identified with anything/anyone fictional until recently, but I feel like I can connect with the film American Beauty (1999), particularly the characters' desires to avoid normality. The thought of one Day finding yourself doing the same boring, in Apes long thing for your whole life ...

Frank and Whiplash

Frank was charming and heartfelt, and Whiplash was exhilarating and nuanced

I'd say Magneto, specifically the one portrayed in the 2000 X-Men film. All he desires is social equality, and I pretty much agree with his belief that such things might not come without some 'dramatic' changes. He's not looking for infinite power or money or anything. He just wants the right to liv...
