It used to be quite straight forward in the UK. If it was pre-2100hrs, or 'the watershed', you could only get away with word such as 'bloody'. After 2100hrs, especially if you were on BBC2 or Channel 4, you could say pretty much anything except 'cu*t'. Derek and Clive were an exception to this rule....

As someone who is obsessed with ST, I find it hard to be objective. I like all of the films but for different reasons. I would happily watch starships being docked and undocked all day. I could aimlessly crawl through Jeffries tubes for no apparent reason, or even degauss transporter pads without co...

Describe your love life? Okay .... over. We've been together for a long time but in reality we live in separate worlds. To cut a long story short, he physically withdrew and my reaction was to emotionally withdraw. This spiralled out of control and we both avoided tackling the problem. This was compl...

Hi, I'm new here too and some of your traits are similar to my own. In particular the attitude to humour. I work in an open plan office that is full to the brim with NTs. My humour often get disapproving looks. I, however, have to put up with their constant eating, coughing, sneezing, sniffing and e...

We're with you.
Yesterday was Hell for me too. Today, for no apparent reason, I feel quite chipper. There is hope.

On a more serious note, don't suffer alone. Get help, you can do it.

Hi, I'm new to WP and social media in general. Glad to hear your positive thoughts about friends and family. My friends and family are just getting used to the diagnosis, as am I. If I had a £/$ for everyone who has said "hmmm ...... we always thought there was something going on, but we though...

Hi. My storey is remarkably similar to yours and I have the same reservations regarding therapy. I work with Psychologists and see the positive effect they have on their ASD clients. Therapy seems to be very beneficial, but it takes time. I'm trying to keep this in mind while I gather the courage to...

NTs can't cope with me on a long term basis. I have a small group of friends and can't cope with large groups. However, those in my 'small group' usually burn out after a while. I don't blame them, it's hard, too intense for them to manage for an extended period of time. I don't think dating would w...
