I'm a guy, and consider myself to be very emotional.
I think it's just that they don't present on the surface as expected.

Actually, I'd say sex without feeling can be very detrimental to one's well being. It's also rather unlikely that intimacy can occur without emotional involvement. We may think it's so, when the reality is we're not aware or acknowledging it. The idea that mind, emotion, sensation, etc., are separat...

Agreed. Not even a consideration.

Don't feel bad. It's the nature of creativity to transcend the literal. Most people don't get symbolism, metaphor, analogy; can't read between the lines, see beneath the surface, or interpret. It's an art and science. Don't confuse the name or image of a thing with the thing itself. Words/concepts c...

I can relate. I seem ultra conscious of any sensation throughout my system. From an article in the July issue of the journal Gastroenterology: IBS patients tend to suffer anxiety and depression, but they tire of being told their symptoms of diarrhea, constipation, and/or pain are all in their minds....

You want to come with your own name. Trust me.
Just let it come when it's time. You'll be glad you did.

You've got to be kidding. You're married? Sorry. I find that inexcusable. Since the discussion has grown beyond your issue... The age difference isn't so important where genuine love is involved, but the age is. 23 and 33 is way different than 13 and 23. Yasmine, all the older people attracted to yo...

To quote a Gary Numan tune: 'I'd love to be like me if I could feel like you'. This is a good discussion, and it illustrates that no one is the same, whether your personal traits have been categorized into a syndrome or not. There isn't a mold. This is a band of the larger, all-embracing human spect...

That last bit is what Einstein termed 'ghostly action at a distance', I believe. Fascinating stuff. If you've ever experienced synchronicity, you know things are not what they seem. Personally, I've experienced a good deal of strange phenomena, and wonder how many others here have. I feel there's mo...

I'm not meaning to be critical of you...not at all. Not so much a value judgment as having gone through that kind of thing myself. I know plenty about the era. I understand what you're saying about the earlier times, but I don't necessarily think it means more. To me, that was just part of the journ...

I tend to take things literally when directed at me. But my own thinking is rather abstract, associative and depth oriented. When reading nonfiction, I want to be able to make complete sense of the subject...no gaps in knowledge. Of course, that almost never happens. Most day to day comments are sup...

I wouldn't read too much into it. After all, you haven't seen what this person said about other students, so the descriptions have no context. Also, it's 1967, and those are completely inappropriate comments (as mentioned earlier: shallow). You're being looked at by an individual who grew up...when?...
