I love that perspective! I was doing pretty good, but when my routine is broken, I have an extremely hard time getting back to it. |

Hubby walked with me today at the mall which was nice. I did get suckered in to the high end skin care place though. Hubby abandoned me but on the way home we talked about my inability to resist because of the difficulty with standing up for myself, it's kinda the same thing with the high pressure s... |

I've tried to go walk since Christmas, but I just can't seem to make myself go. Once I'm walking, I'm usually fine. It's the getting started that's the hard part. I've asked my husband to tell me to go walk, and he has once or twice and that was super helpful, but he doesn't seem to want to do that ... |

Hi! I need motivation beyond the natural to walk. I generally hate exercise. It makes me feel yucky. I have the "Evidation" app that gives me points for walking and completing surveys or reading articles about health. (https://tinyurl.com/y5r8antz) But it isn't quite enough to give me the ... |

I am indeed lucky! It has not always been so. I lent a book, a sort of dictionary about the healing properties of foods, to my brother and he SOLD it! I've never quite recovered from that. I'm always suspicious after the fact. In the moment I am lending my book, I'm sure of their intention to get my... |

I think that people and governments especially don't actually apologize but "express sorrow" as the OP stated is because of pride. Pride makes the NT person more reluctant to admit wrongdoings and since there are a lot more of them the ASD folks who don't think that way get shut down prett... |

I'm seeing her tomorrow from brunch and she HAS the book! My dysgraphic (along with adhd & ASD) is not as excited about it as I am. Steady and gentle is how I teach and guide him (we homeschool) so it'll be fine.
Thank you all for encouraging me to ask for the book! |

I asked! She said she saw it this summer and put it somewhere so she wouldn't forget it. So, she'll look for it tomorrow. I'm hoping that her putting it somewhere so she won't forget it, is less of a black hole than when I do it. Thanks again everyone! |

Thank you all so much for the replies. She did in fact tell me she packed it. It had sat on her dining table for a very long time and then she packed it without thinking. Is it possible she said that and didn't mean it? Perhaps. I've been burned way too many times when lending books! My brother &quo... |

A friend moved to another state and accidentally packed a book that I had lent her quite a while before that. She's been gone for a year or more. She's planning a visit back here soon. Do I ask her to bring my book or just drop it? Also if I DO ask for it, does being extra polite make it better, or ... |

It seems to me that it's a rather organic process. While there are some common themes in stories I've seen of peoples' journeys each one is unique. For ME, I'm self-diagnosed, which I have been told by numerous "official" sources is completely valid. Many of us have difficulties in getting... |

I just wanted to share where I know others will understand or even experience the same thing... I had to take off me pants the other day and turn them inside out to find the needle or thorn that was bothering me only to find out that it was a dog hair. |

Sorry but have seen modern day DO,s go the easy route of treating ( interveiwing) masses as oppose to taking time to address stuff, I pray you have a good Doctor of Osteopathy, sorry on no funds for ND but it is a big deal in the diagnostic treatment you get most often. Time will tell . The learnin... |

Thank you all so much for your input! The Dr. is a D.O., insurance doesn't cover naturopaths, sadly. When I filled out the form to request becoming this Dr.'s patient, I made an exhaustive list of my issues, so hopefully that will be good and not result in the eye-roll attitude. If things go ok this... |

Can someone explain to me how you tell the difference between "normal" aches and pains and ones to talk to the Dr. about? I'm seeing a new doc next week and I don't want to go in there and give a bad impression with a long list of complaints that are "just normal".
Thanks! |

So glad it worked out well for you! My son decided against a service animal of any sort and says that it might be better to wait until later and see if it's more necessary as he gets older. He says that he doesn't think he needs one enough to compensate for all the difficulties in getting one. Thank... |
