How do you experience a meltdown?
Is it mild, or violent?
Implode or explode?
Stimm or shutdown?

I experience either a shutdown or a tension meltdown. Either I have to contort myself or I fall into a incoherent stupor for any were from minutes to hours.

Had a meltdown at school during math, started rolling my head and rocking like crazy! I was so embarrassed. What's worse is that my teacher assumed I wasn't paying attention or trying to sleep in class by putting my head down, which pushed it into a panic attack after. I just want to go home.

So, I have absolutely dehabilitating meltdowns on a fairly regular basis. I'm 17, an aspie, and have coping methods, but I never managed to subdue my stimming. I rock and flap and whatnot. I draw in class to still my hands and listen to music to stop the head rolling. Unfortunately the stress builds...

Hey, i'm GV, and I like cats and aspire to be an artist. I enjoy anime, manga, genetics, biology, reading, TV, movies, I'm basically your average nerdy kid but without a Metallica sweater. Well, average if I wasn't an aspie. I'm bubbly and exciteable and I love life. Super excited to meet others who...
