The biggest challenge I have in my marriage is being 'emotionally supportive' of my wife when she needs me. She can't tell me what that means for whatever reason (because it comes natural to her) But now she's suffering from a lot of medical issues and she's looking for me to be more emotionally sup... |

Borderline personality disorder is a thing - https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/borderline-personality-disorder/index.shtml it's not an adjective assigned to the personality disorder. It denotes that the personality is literally always on the borderlines (like giant mood swings) They said the B... |

So my current autism therapist (Eva Mendes, who i would highly recommend getting her book if you're in a neurodiverse relationship) said she can actually give me the diagnosis and she believes the standard test I received simply doesn't do the job. |

So I went in for my autism diagnosis and it came back as 'non-spectrum' but she said it's hard to get an adult diagnosed without information from my parents about my childhood. The did give me a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, which both my wife and her mother (who is a LICSW) disagree... |

You'll get into plenty of "legal" fights that way.
Are you still 6 feet and 200 lbs?
Yeah, 6'3" 250lbs. I might get back into it.
I should probably start with hockey again. That's helpful to a degree as long as it's a clean game. |

So, I've been reading up on my ASD and my alexithymia, and there's a suggestion that a low dose of anti-anxiety meds may help with that. Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share with meds? I've never been on any. |

I got more attention from the ladies when I shaved my head bald vs when I had the lonely islands of wispy hair. Been 5 years now. I don't do anything with the attention because I've been married for 17... |

also, she personally hates video games. And when he plays games it's "all he talks about". I feel like this is more of a problem for her than him. He's gotten really good at transitioning from games to chores lately. |

the problem is that I feel like she won't listen to me because she has me as an addict and an enabler on this. Granted, my addiction with 'screens' (which is a term I hate) is why I'm such a successful adult. Not to mention, she's basically taking away one of the things my son and I do together and ... |

So, this comes and goes with the wind, but my wife believes that both my son and I get too addicted to screens and that he simply shouldn't have them. I'm too gone to save to her. The problem is my son is VERY passionate about video games and really wants to make games and do game design (He's 7.) I... |

Anyone here have a strong urge throughout their life to fight? Like physically with your fists? I was always bullied growing up. I was a big kid (6', 200lbs by 5th grade), so everyone thought I was "ret*d" and as such I was called that all the time. My mom and dad took me aside one day and... |

I'm curious how you handle yourself when you can tell that you're about to have a meltdown or something. Last night I lost control and retreated from my wife. I had somehow perceived something that made me withdraw entirely. I could identify it but I couldn't control myself at all. It happens infreq... |
