Hello Photograph 51, Don't worry I have been a member for about a year or so and have made less than 50 posts. In your signature you included the email address for a study you are doing. I will shoot you an email. I just got my neuropsychological eval results today after nearly 2 years of trying. Ev... |

My life has been a series of changing expectations as long as I can remember. Recently I lost someone that means more to me than I realized. It has made me appreciate the few people that I am close to even more and has caused me to reflect a bit on the nature of our mortality. My father passed away ... |

Why are you here? I want to know why it's so clear to me that I have Aspergers, it's been diagnosed, but somehow everyone (especially family members) refuses to believe that I have it. Am I different from the rest of you? I don't think I am, you tell me. While I am still working on getting my own d... |

Good morning ScarletIbis, I noted in your signature that you explained the date vs age thing. Just go into your profile and juxtapose the day and month for your date of birth and it should fix it. I had to do that because I was starting to curse at the computer for being wrong every time I looked a... |

This may be a bit old, but I seem to be developing a habit of responding on older threads anyway... I started working (above-the-table) when I was 16, as a bagger at a grocery store. Before that I worked as a door-to-door salesperson selling candy and carwashing stuff for a 20% commission (no real p... |

I have a great deal of respect for my grandparents (paternal). I have some respect for my father because even though he has many failings, he busted his backside trying to provide for my brother and I. I don't speak to my mother even though I have reached out and tried to build a relationship with h... |

a service member that does something contrary to orders, if they fail to prove that the order was unlawful can be punished "as a court martial may direct". UCMJ Article 92 Interesting, so basically they have to stick their necks out and go out on a limb? no wonder the president is flaunti... |

So while required to obey lawful orders, if the primary purpose of those orders is not lawful (Constitutional) we morally and by oath are required to disobey and oppose such orders as given. However, if a service member were to do so, they better damn well be correct and able to prove it! That's in... |

What you are saying would generally be true, but during peace time, afaic. When under siege or natural disaster, refuseniks are regarded as unfriendlies or beligerents, not necessarily under a national banner. Also, under the international framework, coalition forces, from foreign countries, are al... |

I don't think we will ever see another civil war in the US. Any rebellion would be ruthlessly crushed by the military first. The military is made up of people. Their views are probably as opposed to the other as the rest of the population's. If the States start shifting, who knows what will happen.... |
