By the way... my apologies to anyone not from the US. That was an incredibly US-centric reply as I implicitly assumed we were talking about the US military. Can't speak at all to policies in other countries, however I'd say that the logic of "force them to tell you no" and "make sure ... |

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): If it's something that you are passionate about it, I'd say go ahead and do it. Force the recruiters to tell you no. The official DoD instruction on the matter says "no" to diagnosed developmental "disorders". That being said... EVERYTHING in the DoD ... |

I'd recommend going to back to school... not so much to get a degree (though that is a nice bonus) but to further study a field that aligns with your interests. In the worst case scenario, you'll be out a little money and you'll probably learn something. In the best case scenario, you'll be out a li... |

Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken".... I can binge watch those back-to-back-to-back all day while laughing hysterically. My wife (NT) just looks at me with a confused expression of "I don't get it". |

That's a rough one... My wife and I have been married for 8 years. It absolutely was not without its struggles. Eventually, she came to the realization that I likely was not going to change too terribly much. She realizes that when I get intently focused on something (i.e. computer programming), it'... |

Not sure if this is an Aspie thing, or just me being lazy, but I HATE... HATE... working out. I know that I have to do it in order to prevent myself from becoming a fat slob. It's the healthy thing to do, etc. However, when I get in a gym environment, I get intensely bored with the workout. Seriousl... |

I'd offer to you that you should look towards a job that you enjoy, even if you are horrifically bad at it. If its a field that you're passionate about, the quality of performance will quickly follow. I've found that having to a job that I hate generally results in a poor quality of life. Work quali... |

I concur with the notion of dragging my face along the concrete as being easier than retail. If you enjoy working in retail, then by all means... go for it. There's nothing worse than having to go to a job that you hate just to keep food on the table and a roof over your head. That being said, I've ... |

I think this is one of those "grey" areas (cringe) I've read about where the answer is "it depends". There are no shortage of personality types out there that seek to attempt to better their own condition by berating and belittling others. If any sign of weakness is detected in a... |

You were far kinder than I would have been. Curious as to what the reply was. Did she take it in stride, or engage in some emotionally driven and utterly incomprehensible set of retaliatory actions? While factual, polite and to the point, my fear would be that your reply struck at something that she... |
