Maybe it’s because I’m from Europe, but I really don’t understand the American rating system anyway. For example, my favorite TV show is “Hannibal”. It’s extremely brutal and gory and in my country you have to be an adult (18+) to legally buy it. (Admittedly, one could argue that this might be a bit...

I always obsess over fictional characters! As sad and stupid as this might sound, but it is and always has been the most important thing in my life (well, along with my family and my cat) and one of the few things that can actually make me really happy and excited. I don’t even consciously choose, w...

Amazon has DVDs as well - at least for some shows. Mr. Robot is released on DVD and some other shows as well. But for a show like "Mozart in the Jungle" I couldn't find a DVD. So maybe it depends on how popular the show is or if Amazon has the full rights to it.

I’m fan of Star Wars (but only of the movies, I tried to read some books of the EU but somehow they never really interested me). I loved the OT since I was a child and I’ve watched it countless of times (my favorites always were Luke and Darth Vader). The PT is ok, though I mostly only like the thir...

I re-watch and re-read everything that I like. I tend to get very obsessed with fictional stories and characters, and if I’m obsessed with a show/movie/book I re-watch it dozens of times in a rather short period of time. For example my favorite show at the moment: I have watched the whole show from ...

Yes, I loved it. It was my favorite show when I was in primary school and I was obsessed with it. Funnily enough, in a fit of nostalgia I actually bought the first season on DVD just a few days ago. I’m surprised how much I’m still enjoying it even as an adult. Sure, it’s a bit silly but a lot of fu...

I loved the first 9 or 10 seasons of The Simpsons, but I didn’t like the ones that came after that and I’ve stopped watching the show a few years ago. I felt like the later seasons became far too much like Family Guy and I never liked that show. The earlier seasons of The Simpsons were more satirica...

I know what you mean, LoveStories. I'm going through a lot of the same. The cost of living has gone up so much recently that I'm surprised people are actually pulling through. I never fail to be amazed at the strength of the human spirit. When things get tough for me, I just remind myself of how ma...

Oh, yes, the Bechdel-test…. It’s kind of sad that most of the shows I know and love would probably fail this test (I guess, it’s mostly because well written and rounded female characters are still somewhat underrepresented in media, but well… that’s a different topic I think). One show I liked that ...

LCan I ask, why is it too late to change your degree? If you loved being a special ed teacher so much, why don't you pursue it? Well, I guess, it’s not impossible in my position, but it’s very, very difficult – especially from a financial point of view. I would have to go to university again and st...

If I were to say what I like enough to pursue it despite anxieties I would say I like repairing stuff(phones, computers, furniture) and teaching people - but I don't want to be a teacher because giving a presentation in front of 30 high schoolers scares me(I was never able to give such presentation...

Thank you for the info. That’s very interesting! Yes, it makes sense that having Asperger is not enough to get a disability pension since there are many people on the spectrum who seem to have no problem with earning money and so on. But I think, the conditions of these disability pensions sound pre...

I’ve always loved writing and TV, so since I was a child I always wanted to be a screen writer for a television series. Unfortunately, where I come from, you can only study this kind of subject in a private university, which is very expensive and something I could never afford. So, I had to give up ...

I’m sorry for not replying earlier. My life is very stressful and exhausting right now and I barely have time for anything, so when I do have a little bit time for myself, I’m too tired to engage in any kind of social interaction – and even if it’s just on the internet. @pasty Yes, it’s the same wit...

Thank you for all your answers! @ Kiriae This whole thing is so very confusing. After all my research, I know that I show many Asperger traits and so many things about me that just are different would be able to be explained by it. But at the same time my former psychologist (who I visited because I...
