Thanks for the replies, everyone. In response to the last one: I do not expect to gain or maintain control over my partner's feelings/sexuality, nor do I think my emotional response is a "problem" - jealousy is just as natural as sex drive. From my point of view, porn is detrimental to relationships...

Intellectually, I am ok with porn. Human sexuality is a complicated thing, too often shoe-horned (excuse the imagery) into societal constraints - which may include monogamy. I understand this. However, the knowledge that my husband looks at photographs of other naked women while masturbating causes ...

I used to orgasm very quickly, but since I've been taking Paxil, orgasming is difficult.

Recently my fiance and I tried pot brownies. It was our first experience with marijuana. He is also an aspie, but we had very different reactions. I was very affected. I quickly became disoriented, dizzy, and had a cool, tingly feeling all over my body and inside my mouth. A little while later I bec...

There are quite a number of objects I want very, very much [a Bernina sewing machine, a Blend-Tec blended to blend iPods and marbles with, a new bow for my violin, a cantilever chair, a laptop, very nice clothes, Ariel by Sylvia Plath, a recording of The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, books on economics, ...

The problem is that the people declaring the correct interpretations are usually reading in ridiculously, adding far-fetched and illogical meanings to fairly direct pieces, or pieces perhaps not intended to be interpreted symbolically at all.

The other thread that was linked to this thread is old and a bit long to add to, but I did want to say something about an opinion expressed on it, namely that someone who can function in social settings does not have AS. I disagree with this, since Autism is not a personality or behavior disorder, b...

The interesting idea involving a multiverse is one of time and determination. If, by observing a moving particle and destroying the myriad of possibilities for it's location by your observation you cause that myriad of possibilities to be manifested in a corrosponding number of myriad universes, you...

I am in a similar position, though I haven't been diagnosed with anything at all. While I haven't [yet] followed this advice myself, why not see an autism specialist?

I suppose after requesting this information from you all, I should deliver some myself. I work at Starbucks. I hope [and plan] to start a BA in January, so this isn't as despicable as it might be. I spend most of my free time reading, writing, playing violin and a very little piano and bass, looking...

Wasn't this thread about legal rights? On that subject, I find it interesting that, at least here in Alberta, married couples have restricted rights when it comes to claiming insurance and pensions. Where homosexual marriage is legal, homosexual couples should be granted the same rights/priveleges a...
