I was so sad to read that. She was a really articulate, down to earth person, with a wicked sense of humour.

How many is "a lot"? Maybe mods quit because they get tired of essentially baby-sitting websites full of complainers, losers, and self-absorbed whiners. Mneh ... maybe not in our case. I mean, we're all tolerant, successful, and supportive members here on WP, aren't we? Yeah, they probably aren't e...

Because they were overworked volunteers who got no support.

If you had any idea how many good kids get labeled as bad kids, I think you would understand where I am coming from in this. As adults, you can advocate for yourselves. It doesn't matter what the world thinks; you can set people straight about who you, uniquely, are. But an 8 year old? No, they can...

I wouldn't want to put my dog through the trauma of seeing me naked. :lmao: Off topic .. but couldn't resist..many years ago my husband was walking naked from the shower and decided to shake his bon-bon on the way. The (male , for what it's worth) puppy thought it very curious - whether it was the ...

I have that problem, especially with emergency sirens. I had my hearing tested a long time ago and it showed one ear was better at picking up high pitched sounds, the other was better at lower pitched sounds, so if that's still the case it might have something to do with it. I've heard owls and some...

I don't see any problem with that. The only problem I see is after the shower if the dog in the bathroom or any where else in the house decides to shake itself dry before you dry him (or her) yourself, because that will just spray water all over the place. I love dogs. That would be the only ...

In Aus it's not customary to tip unless the service is really good, because (for the moment at least) waitstaff make decent money. I've never understood why they aren't paid better in the US because from what I can work out you don't pay any less for your meal!

No I do not hate being an aspie. I hate Nts. They lie , manipulate and make my life hell. Yeah, I'd like to not have to worry about them but unfortunatly I have to work with them and they pay my cheques. After a few decades of bending over backwards and trying to accomodate THEM, I'm burnt out and c...
