I fully understand why he was upset. The very idea that autism/Asperger's is something that would need to be 'cured' is insulting. It's not a disease, an affliction, or a condition. It's just a different way to be, and I for one am happy being this way. You wouldn't cure creativity, or intelligence,... |

I don't want to be difficult, but I really hate Facebook. The frequent invitations to this, that, and the other really put me off. I don't want a walrus for my virtual zoo. I don't have a virtual zoo, cafe, farm, or anything like that, and I don't want one, and I'm sick of getting invited to get the... |

Anyone ever heard of a polyphasic sleep cycle? Worked wonders for me. I absolutely love it. |

I've always had an extraordinary imagination. I'm multitalented in creative areas, and I just love it. The main problem I'm having with it lately, though, is that I can't slip into the story like I'm supposed to any more because (due to one thing and another) I'm now living with a bunch of extremely... |

I've seen it. I had very mixed feelings about it. Parts of it were very cute and funny, but there was a scene that reminded me so much of an extremely traumatic experience in my life that I had a crying fit that lasted through to the end of the film. So, while I did enjoy it, I don't think I'll watc... |

Breasts are only seen as a sexual thing because they're hidden. If it became more common for breasts to be exposed, then it wouldn't be so arousing to see them. For example, in those countries where the women are constantly topless or even naked, the men aren't walking around with constant erections... |

I can agree with that, but Linux is practical. I guess it's a matter of preference; I prefer function over form. |

I don't think the OP meant -that- Opera. Also, I will make a respectful suggestion here: "To hell with Windows; get Linux." |

I love all genres of music, and opera is one of my favourites--next to disco, metal, and techno. You should listen to "Habanera". That's a really good one for those who are trying to like opera, but haven't managed it yet. :P I didn't have much of an interest in opera until I saw "The Fifth Element"... |

In answer to your question, plainjane-nt, my wife wouldn't mind at all if the bird doesn't like her. We've got the two bearded dragons, and it's sort of funny, because one of them likes her, and the other likes me, and if I try to handle hers, it will bite; the same vice versa. So she's used to that... |

I forgot to mention a couple of things. My wife and I live in an apartment, and we're currently looking at another one closer to where she works, which is another reason for not getting a dog; most places won't take dogs, and I wouldn't want to keep one cooped up in an apartment anyway. I wouldn't k... |

Wow, thanks for all the great info! As I said, I've done extensive research already, and no, I'm not bothered by sound, unlike most on the spectrum. I'm not interested in getting a dog; I couldn't stomach the idea of going outside to walk it and having other dog owners talk to me. Skahthic, thanks f... |

I brush my teeth every day, but I only shower if my hair gets greasy or if I feel, smell, or look dirty. Sometimes I shower a couple of days in a row, but sometimes I'll go for as many as five or six days without bathing. I do the same with my clothes; once they start to look, smell, or feel dirty, ... |

When my friend (I've only got the one ) said, "You're not crazy or ret*d. You just have an alternate pattern of behaviour, because you have an alternate way of seeing the world. Different doesn't automatically mean crazy, and special doesn't always mean 'speshul'." |
