My disabilities are physical as I have no employment and no realistic prospect of it I never meet people, my social skills are bad but not awful if I was in a position to make friends I think I probably could. I would suggest meeting people online then. I have made a lot of good friends that way. O...

No I haven't had friends for about 8 years and as I am now disabled I cannot imagine I will ever have friends again, I don't ever meet people and if I did I would have nothing to talk to them about. Trust me I get that. As someone who had no friends for about six years before finding people it is p...

I'm in my final year of school and this is probably the first time I can properly answer yes to that question. I have always struggled with realizing when someone is actually my friend. When I did have friends I often found myself being less a friend, but simply a pushover. The good people I have fo...

! !! ! I was so excited when I saw this. I have always been asked where I was from, or assumed to be from England. At least that's the top bet. There have also been guesses of American or Canadian (I live in New Zealand as I always have) I have been to a speech therapist a few times as a speech impe...

Good point! There really are parallels between how aces are dismissed as mentally Ill and/or sick and how gay people were (often still are) and like I said a lot of the way people try and "fix" aces or see us as a challenge is identical to how lesbians (probably men too) are treated

As someone who is homo-romantic asexual and experiences both homophobia and acephobia I believe that asexuals do belong in the community. Asexuals experience the same heteronormativity and often have to come out same as other LGBT people. Who cares if they don't experience it the same way. I have no...

I am a seventeen year old girl. I have never been officially diagnosed, but I have a lot of autistic relatives and have wondered whether I was as well for a while now. Recently I have been far more social than previously and I think it was all a bit much or something since some slight maybe issues w...

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you and a lot of what you just said is pretty relatable. My sister is autistic as well just further down the spectrum. She doesn't believe I could be autistic because I was always the one who could face crowds and explained bits of sarcasm to her. Of course a lot of it s...
