I don't except for on Halloween or rare special occasions. I love the way makeup looks but it feels like too much additional work for me to put it on everytime before I have to go somewhere.

It sounds like their channelling their struggles out on you. It's a difficult situation, but try not to take it to heart. I'm sure they do love you. Thank you for the advice guys. I think my parents may have forgotten about saying this due to the family emergencies and stress between then and now.
