I'm not sure if the subject text is completely accurate, and I'm not sure if I can explain clearly. There is this thing that occasionally happens when I talk to someone while drunk. I have something I want to say, but when I try to say it I'm kinda unable to get out a word for a long while (but maki...

I could probably use that word more often to appease the NTs. I do think that using sorry frequently makes the word less meaningful. When I watch sports and I see someone apoligize for hitting the net and winning a point (tennis or similar), I just think that's beyond ridiculous. Why should you apol...

I have some perfectionism issues that relates to knowledge as well as more concrete stuff. The person that diagnosed me with Aspergers also concluded that I did not have OCD. This was based on things I told her, but I'm not sure if I was able to communicate clearly to her the kind of issues I was ha...

Your name is actually quite Scandinavian seeming haha

If you know the language, search for:

"Fru Blom" +
"Alex Brinchmann" +
"Per Aabel"

That's the basis for the "name". The second part of it is a more or less randomly chosen ending.

As an Aspie, my biggest challenge was probably to communicate well with the instructor during driving lessons. I remember that we went to an icy track to train for winter conditions. It had these obstacles that moved into the road, and I had a nasty tendency to crash into them. The instructor failed...

My experience of meetings with psychiatrists and similar is that it helps to be prepared and to have some motivation. If I understood correctly, some of your focus is on getting a job. If that is the goal, try to be conscious of some issue or something relating to that goal that you can discuss duri...

I'll start by discussing the classical "we don't understand irony/sarcasm" statement. Here is what I think. I think this mainly applies during speech. I believe that at least a significant portion of autistic people could be as good if not better than NTs at identifying those things in wri...

I'd suspect not. When I was in the teens, I was diagnosed with selective mutism. At that time, I wasn't really particularly interested in getting a diagnosis so I probably didn't tell the psychiatrists as much about myself as I could have. When I got diagnosed with Asperger's much later, I was at a ...

I'd be looking for one other person to play with. Potential issues listed below: -I have OCD-tendencies. I might be overly concerned with full-clearing zones and picking up low-value items to sell. -I have a slight disliking of spamming a spell/ability -I'm not exceptionally good, and don't like to ...

Thanks. I realized that looking for explanations of terms/vocabulary on this site didn't seem worthwhile, so I'll probably use Google when I'm uncertain from now on.

Hi, I fancy logical puzzles and computer games. I'll have a look around and see if I find some useful threads around here. Edit: Oh, BTW. Is there somewhere I can learn expressions that are used in the threads (meltdown etc.)? I feel that I might need to expand my vocabulary on frequently used terms...
