A couple of weekends ago I bought a 20 lb blanket (Gravity). So far I love it! I'm falling asleep faster, sleeping more deeply (more vivid dreams) and waking up less groggy. I’m wondering how warm it is. I get pretty hot at night and tend to throw off the blankets, otherwise I end up sweating. Bein...

I thought this was interesting: Peter, Evan and Brian work at a small technology firm based by the beach in Santa Monica, testing software and fixing bugs. On first inspection it seems like any other Los Angeles-based company, with tasteful art on the white walls and calm-inducing diffusers dotted a...

Thanks. I’ll check those out.

I sleep with two folded towels on my head. In the past, I’ve slept with a heavy blanket that let me feel very secure.

Anyone have any long term experience with weighted blankets in terms of longevity?

Hi, I really want a weighted blanket. I’m looking for recommendations for longevity. Even if a given blanket gets 4.5 (out of 5) reviews, the 1-2 reviews says it rips/falls apart and filling leaks everywhere. Anyone have any long term experience with these who can recommend a reasonably priced, qual...

In the meantime, get yourself on the waiting list to be assessed.

Time passes whether we like it or not and that appointment will never arrive unless you get on the wait list.

Might wanna get your hearing checked. In my experience the folks who TALK THE LOUDEST are often the same folks who ask others in the room (whom I had no trouble understanding the first time myself) to repeat what they said. That could be auditory processing disorder with people like us. I often fin...

I’m not shocked when people who have wronged me get what they deserved.

If anything, it reinforces my belief in a higher power.

We have chickens. 13 of them. They are not comfort animals, but they might as well be. They help all of us to be relaxed and comfortable. They certainly are stress relievers. We have an 8 x 8 foot coop and an 8 x 24 foot fenced in run. All hens since roosters are not allowed. We do let the girls out...

It depends on what they need to know.

If they don’t need the diagnosis then tell them what they need to know.

I tell coworkers that I have difficulty reading people. I ask them to be specific, using only words to get their point across.

Just a suggestion.

Yup. I reported this months ago and nothing is being done to fix it.

Pretty sure that’s me.

I’m offend horrified at some stuff I’ve said and done. As much as I’ve recognized it, I can’t seem to change. In the moment, I’m unable to see how my words and actions will be seen by others.

Yes, I’m a fairly picky eater and I often don’t enjoy my selection to the point of being unable to stomach it.

I’m not sure how it is in the UK, but here in the US, most restaurants will usually let you trade it in for something else if you really don’t like your food.

I’m always a little sad or depressed on my birthday.

I attribute that to high expectations. I’m usually hoping that someone (my wife) will go all out to make me feel special.

She tries, I feel, but it often doesn’t work. It is not really the fault of my spouse, as the fault lies with me.

I have one friend who I made through my wife. We go rock climbing and shooting a handful of times per year. Those are fun activities that require him, but since my wife had a fallout (both NT) with his wife, we don’t hang out together outside those activities. Speaking of which, many of my friends I...
