When I was in middle school, I was seriously socially inept. Some people would tell me they didn't want to be friends with me because they couldn't read me. It was so confusing. I can't read them. Why should they be able to read me? I don't want to be read. That's a violation of my privacy.

I don't talk that much. Just don't feel connected with the idiots I'm surrounded with. I prefer talking to my online groups or simply talking to myself. Even that's more interesting than interacting with my classmates.

I'm new to this site. I'm not sure if I have autism as I've never been diagnosed. I have many symptoms of high-functioning autism, but I'm not sure how many are simply due to natural introversion, having a high IQ, and growing up in a dysfunctional family that stunted by social and emotional growth....
