Pasting from another thread 10 Aug 2024, 6:36 am Carbonhalo I hitched a ride with a serial killer, and got away because he didn't know how to deal with my disconnection. He kept trying to scare me, and I wasn't reacting as he wanted. Did you hold a conversation with him, or did you just give one wo...

It's probably OK, but almost certainly counterproductive. Being aware that there are things that are problematic is a good thing, but attaching such a strong emotion to it is likely to cloud your judgment. At the end of the day, emotions are just information, we just get somewhat less control over ...

I have noticed, I don't get instinctively scared of people most NTs would be scared of. From talkative poor/homeless people who smoke, to people with irrational/crazy, or even extreme beliefs.. Of course, I try to stay sane myself, and am certainly not extreme, but, unlike most people, I don't mind ...

Thank you all for your replies! It is interesting to consider the difference between hating, and accepting, but disliking the parts of yourself, which cannot be changed.. I guess, I find calamity in finding the Soul root of my hated parts, and believing, that God will send me someone, the flaws of w...

Something, which angers me about society, is how people expect you to love every part of yourself - and how some will love you for your flaws, expecting you to take pride in some things so ugly, which you fight against every day. There are some things about me which I will despise and fight against ...

I think existential suicidal thoughts, like what some gay/lesbian people sometimes have, are probably the hardest to deal with. Imagine waking up every day, with a Soul that doesn't correspond to your body, and everyone considering you as something you do not consider yourself to be. You must wonder...

PTSD is more common in autistic people than in non-autistic people. The reason I mention PTSD are the flashbacks which are a common symptom of PTSD. What you had to deal with is too much for any young child to handle. Autism and PTSD: Overlap and link PTSD is too much to handle without professional...

Maybe you did the best you could with what you had at the time. Perhaps the you that you are now could have a talk with the you as you were then. You could journal it, or create a place in your mind, perhaps even imagine visiting the people in the flash back. Perhaps you could talk to a therapist a...

I have just recently noticed, how an emotional flashback is getting in my way of finding love. The man who adopted and raised me in childhood (from 0-8 years) had repeatedly hurt/threatened my mom for not loving him back. He tried to force a relationship with her right from the start, for which I wi...

Update: I tried out that program, and it did solve for x when I entered the quartic equation, but then, when I copied 1 of the x's into another equation I wanted to solve, then it said there was an error... Maybe, my 2nd equation was too big? Also, couldn't quite get how to use the simplify option. ...

Hi all, So, in my recent maths research, I got a big quartic equation. I know there is a quartic formula to solve it, but my coefficients are so big, that I would much rather trust a computer program that would, somehow, substitute them into the general formula, and rearrange them to a simpler form,...

Interesting answers, everyone! As a side note: does anyone know of any program, which can calculate roots of any polynomial, even without concrete coefficients (e.g. a*x^6+(a-b)*x^5+x+61==0)? I've so far tried wolfram alpha, but it said I've exceeded its maximum number of characters... Happy upcomin...
