I would stay away from any "job coach" that uses abuse rather than motivation. this is a should statement without evidence in real life.. you can stay unemployed repeating you should only be fed motivation and told things that will make you feel good, but has that actually worked for peop...

I would stay away from any "job coach" that uses abuse rather than motivation. That's just one step lower than the relative who calls every day to ask if you have found a job yet. Why would anyone want to hire an abusive coach when a relative can nag them for free? Again, saying th...

I somehow managed to get married but now my wife hates me. It does not help I have lost multiple jobs and currently work as a substitute teacher. However there are more problems. Well, you can try private home tutoring to make more money? With pandemic, rich people are making study pods for their k...

I've been having an awful time trying to get a replacement job since being laid off due to covid. I've had multiple interviews only to finally receive a generic rejection letter ("we've decided to pursue other candidates.....") How do you land a job? It is so exhausting and depressing. I ...

The comments in this thread are more about "life for people who have poor mental health and no interests" than "life on SSI." I also have Section 8, and I live on less than what SSI provides: $200 food stamps per month, a $22 monthly utility allowance with my Section 8, and $142...

Of course I agree with that. It’s because that’s the way you see things that you’re unhappy. If you charmer the way you see things & changed your value system to value and appreciate other things in life then life becomes bearable - and even enjoyable. I’ve never been in a relationship but ther...

I am struggling with same issues as OP except I am ten years older.. I confirm it’s hard to be positive when you haven’t experienced success.. by all means though, do the written exercises in ‘Feeling Good’ by Dr Burns and initiate some sort of healthy food and exercise life plan.. also join a suppo...

Also, I am in same situation as you but about ten years older.. you need to become neutral and independent in life and not have ups or downs based on having or not having a gf. This is the likeliest to make one happen. My dad brain washes himself naturally all the time by telling himself optimistic ...

idntonkw -thank you, good advice that I needed earlier but probably was not ready to hear until now. Yes, that happened to me - I hit an obstacle at work, started panicking and fighting with people who were complaint of me at work, and created a bigger problem by fighting and being rude to those pe...

you also have to approach the gf dilemma biologically changing the bacteria in your gut through food you eat.. sexual attraction is a part animal instinct with smells, behavior, and unseen to us subtle things expressed by biology taking effect on people around you.. so drink a cup of Kefir every day...

I think once you work through your issues, a gf may find you. Or not. Start a journal with things you do to make a gf happen. You need to talk to more women without scaring them away. You also have to dress better. That’s the minimum. I am 34 and my plan is to buy a pair of pants and a shirt and dre...

Also, as simple a point as this is I feel it’s valid: There are many of us who’ve gone through extended periods of not enjoying living. But they’re in the past and we’re still here because we push through them - or just wait for them to pass - and carry on. Ups and downs of life. It’s a pretty comm...

From observing my dad and other aspies who have gotten wives and had children, positive optimistic thinking patterns are the commonality between them. One was like that and another one too naturally, but the third one went through therapy and was on ten medications..also moderately successful aspies...

Missing out on life, career, family- that's painful. That's why people on the spectrum go off and kill themselves because they're different. . Yes you hit the nail on the head! After 30, aspies realize how behind they are socially with no hope to ever fulfill their want for social life and family.....
