Empathy: an emotional lie, i.e., you feel the emotion of the other even though you haven't been where they've been that causes said emotion How can you know what emotion the other is feeling if you haven't been there? I suppose you could try to imagine what they might be feeling and think "you migh... |

I think I understand: So sympathy is understanding that another being is being negatively impacted and empathy is experiencing the same negative impact as the victim although it has neither benefit or detriment to you. And you can have sympathy without empathy. What about empathy without sympathy? S... |

I was just playing with my thoughts - no need to go serious! I don't know much about maths save what I know intuitively. I wasn't expecting to get a maths conversation going. :? Logic is independent of perception, in fact its independent of physical reality. Where do you come up with this BS sophist... |

I can't tell you much more. I got the endlers by accident as they were bound for pet food and I said I'd keep them. There were six originals and I suspected they were all siblings. Three males and three females. The markings on two of the males were nearly identical but one had black areas that touc... |

I had plecs too (small ones) but when one died and I discovered it it was so hard and awful that I've been faintly disgusted of them ever since. |

Yes! I keep fish! They are a hobby. I don't have a tank at the moment because we have just moved but I have had tanks all my life. The latest was an 80 litre tropical community. I had swordtails, neons, and cherry barbs (my tanks are always understocked because I almost luike the plants more than th... |

What sense does wanton slaughter make to you? No more sense than wanton kindness. We are atoms. If atoms exist. Why do I have to say good-morning? Does the universe ascribe a judgement to wanton slaughter? What do you mean? Parallel line never hit. But they do on a curve. Logic is fallable because ... |

Everything is relative. Nothing is certain. It takes 16 minutes to get to school. Sometimes 16 minutes is very quick, sometimes very slow. It can't both be slow and quick so my perception must be innacurate. How can you say how long something takes is sometimes it is quick and sometimes it is short ... |

1. Cockatiels because they are so intelligent and funny. I have two, Cleo and Witvogel (literally Whitebird. He is a lutino. She is a wild-colour with a recessive gene for pearled) 2. Endlers guppy (poecilia wingei). They are so fun to watch! I love the subtle shape of the females and like predictin... |

I'm 17 and still like to play with my plastic animals. I either play that they are going cross country (climbing up furnature) to escape from hunting tigers, or I play swimming with them in the shower or bath, or they act out Tolkien scenes. I have more than 100 but each has its own name, history, c... |

anarchism
It seems most logical as it is beneficial to both the well off and the not well off and gives each person maximum personal freedom and maximum social support. |

Don't like teeth.
And unidentifyable bits in swimming pools (because my imagination is too active) which means that when I have to swim I wear socks to not feel the bottom and have a full shower and cleansing at home afterwards otherwise I won't go swimming. |
