My answer may not be what you want, because I find the word normal completely devoid of meaning in most discussions. However, replacing normal with healthy makes your questions easier for me to answer, even if that may not be what you are asking. So: Healthy expressive language seems to be the abili... |

I was just thinking about this, and I remembered reading about a martial art that was particularly well-suited for smaller people. I think it was Japanese, and it may have been Aikido, but I can't find that specific information yet. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I don't want to hijack you... |

Because autism was previously diagnosed as schizophrenia, I'm wondering how accurate these results are. If a parent was actually autistic, but misdiagnosed as schizophrenic, this would mean that autism is inherited, not morphed from other psychiatric disorders. |

Being a commuter transfer student I have zero friends at my university, and barely know anybody outside of the 3 people that work in my advisor's lab. My relationship with these folks is basically at a colleague level, because I don't talk to them about anything besides cognitive science or other n... |

And these I love simply because computers are built for convenience, and self organizing lists are superb: Booxter YummySoup... |

I wonder how they avoid injury. I tried wearing one, but I kept accidentally scratching myself. So rather than thinking they are making a silly fashion statement, I admire their coordination. Unless, of course, they look like a clawed animal has been affectionate with their face |

Dan Simmons' Hyperion series is simply gorgeous. Even people who do not think they will like science fiction enjoy it. Larry Niven's "Known Space" novels, of which Ringworld is a good place to start. I concur with pakled about Asimov's Foundation , as any true SF fan should :P As a way to honor a ma... |

Not impossible, but definitely excruciating. I have a 5 page paper due Thursday, and a 10 page paper due next week. I know what I want to write about and how I want to say it, but actually doing so is like trying to tell someone how to build a rocketship in a language I have never learned. I don't t... |

I have been a Mac user since I was a little kid--my first was the Apple IIe. My parents, on the other hand, have been using PCs with Windows operating systems. I recently convinced them to switch, and they seem to be happy with their MacBook Pros. My mother is a student, so she really enjoys the eas... |

I don't actually like Garfield at all; I just found this comic to be a tremendously funny post-modernist version of it. |

Uneducated and immoral individuals creating harmful legislation. The only problem is, who enforces the ban? No one can rely on the "basic goodness of human nature," so... I suppose it might be best to ban nothing at all, and force people to learn from their mistakes. Why ban petty things when there ... |

Funny, I was going to start a thread about this. I saw my reflection the other day in the small window of a door leading out of a lecture hall, but didn't recognize myself. I thought I was going to smack the door into the girl on the other side, and almost apologized! That could have been so embarra... |

If you are able to use tampons, they can be left in for up to 8 hours. A common misconception preventing their use is a concern for chastity: don't worry. Those little rolls of cotton don't go deep enough to disturb your hymen.
Sorry if this isn't helpful; I have never been able to use pads. |
