Hello everyone Sorry haven't been on Wrong Planet for over a week. I started back at work on Monday...a primary school. Finding the transition, and the run up to it difficult, been very agitated. It's getting a bit easier now I've got some structure and predictability. I just act really, which I'm s... |

I had an absolutely terrible stammer when I was younger. It was starting school that triggered it. I can relate to what you're saying. I was totally unable to make so many sounds. I had speech therapy, which barely helped. I worried about saying my name, which seemed impossible to say. I then largel... |

Hi My understanding about being on the spectrum is that, there are lots of similarities between the traits of ASD and Schizophrenia. But equally, you could have 'shades of Bipolar', if you get what I mean. I think it might depend on your personality. I heard voices for several years. I was really 'a... |

Hello AspieUtah So pleased to get a response from two people who also love Chopin ! He had a tough time, in terms of his health, as many people did in those times. And to die so young...but what a legacy. I'd love to go to Warsaw to see the spot in the wall where Chopin's heart lies, preserved in Fr... |

Esmeralda, how lovely to get my first reply since joining Wrong Planet a few days ago. It made me smile. I could imagine Chopin's gentle tones wafting through the night sky from your window ! Thank you so much for sending the Arthur Bernstein's Chopin attachment. I hadn't listened to these recording... |

I love Chopin's music. After many months of listening, my favourite piece is still 'Lullaby'. It takes me somewhere beautiful. When I was depressed, I used to hear it in my head, more slowly than usual. It got me through a difficult time. His piano concerto no. 2 is very uplifting. I haven't found a... |

When I was younger, and up to my teenage years, I loved to draw. I used to get 'lost' in the picture I was creating. Sometimes the detail was so complex and minute, that I had to abandon it, making me frustrated. I think it's the autistic thing of focusing on a small part of something. I said at my ... |

Trampolining is my favourite, though at £9 a session I don't go often. Being able to jump all over the place is so liberating ! The activity I do regularly is Clubbercise. I'm not sure it qualifies as a sport as such. I love it because you do it in the dark, (holding glow sticks !). I'm no good at f... |

I'm 60 and was diagnosed a few week's ago. During the assessment, I was overwhelmed by a tsunami of emotion and was sent home from work. However, when I got the diagnosis, it came as a huge relief. I needed to know why. I'd always believed there was something wrong with my brain. My employer has bee... |
