If two autistic people have a romantic interest in one another, how can you tell if it's genuine romantic feelings or a special interest infatuation? From either, or both sides.

Enough of the female-bashing, I've HAD IT with the female bashing!! I'm sick of you males on WP whining and complaining all the time about how horrible women are when there aspie and autistic women like me on this site. It doesn't matter if you're autistic or NT, it's sickening. But it's even more ...

Why are dogs even called "he" and "she" instead of "it"?

Because they are a living being with a gender and not a thing?

This. It's now the second time it's had to be pointed out on this thread.

How they call dogs "he," and "she" instead of "it" I call them he or she because (a) They have gender, so it's accurate and (b) because they're sentient beings and referring to an animal as an 'it' like he or she is an unfeeling object sends the wrong message to anyone...

I can't help myself either. I feel like, if I let it go, it's dishonesty. It's like I heard them say it, but am pretending they were right in what they said. I hate misquoted lyrics too, unless they're for comedy effect, I get annoyed and have to tell them the real lyrics. It's not just the words, s...

All autistics should band together and buy an island where we can all live without the constant confusion of social interactions.

.....Shaking hands is the normal way. The one who rejects this is an idiot who wants to make trouble to you..... The fact that it is "the normal way" does not give it any meaning. When someone offers you their hand, the gesture tells you nothing about the person. The world is in fact full...

Since we're on the topic of attire, another behavior that seems illogical to me is tucking in shirts. Tucking in my shirt is totally unnatural to me and always has been. I hate it. I hate the feeling. I feel exposed. I'm only slightly "soft around the middle", but even when I was extremel...

Most of the time it's for attention. Everything that's even mildly a point of contention has to be a huge deal. It's most annoying when the lies start in order to keep everyone from crying. "Everyone is beautiful", not they're not. If everyone is beautiful, then no one is beautiful. Beauty...

I don't get why a lot of neurotypicals like to make so much noise. Talking on cellphones in public, especially in places like buses where I can't escape the noise. Driving loud vehicles. Having music on too loud at parties, bars, etc. Listening to music too loud in headphones. Like why do you need ...

Flirting. My reaction has always been somewhere between being oblivious to complete denial. Me too. I've annoyed a few women through the years because of that. I've expressed interest in a woman, but not received anything back, or so I thought, then I get told I've been leading her on. I've been wr...

I don't like if quit normal guys start to act like as*holes just when some girls are around. OK, humans are apes and male apes want to impress the female apes because the females favor dominant males. But starting to act like a chimp just because girls are emotional chimps when it comes to guys? Ye...

Fashion is another weird thing. It's like willingly giving up your individuality. People think they're superior because they're fashionable, but being a follower is the definition of inferiority. I might never be a fashion setter, but I'm 100% sure that I don't want to be a follower. I was walking t...

The modern-day obsession with taking selfies, no matter how mundane the situation or location. I don’t get why this has become a thing. Why would I want to commemorate—and presumably post to a social media platform—a visit to Aisle 3 of the supermarket or my commute home on the average Wednesday? A...
