There are certain symptoms with seizures which don't match what I get. I can delay having the shutsdown being one. Certain seizure symptoms are missing from my descriptions. I have definate triggers to the events. Mostly stress related. Sometimes certain smells lie bleach in hospitals or paint fume...

Ok. I am awaiting an assessment, but from what I can see I would be surprized if I am not on the spectrum. But for me... The journey to find this out so far started off by having physical issues associated with partial and full shutdowns which I could not in the past explain. You've mentioned shutd...

"Most People With Autism Don't Crave Social Interaction" I generally don't crave it at all. I enjoy the company of family (although I need a lot of alone time too), but I can't honestly say that I enjoy interacting with people, regardless of whether they're strangers, acquaintances or in ...

People need to learn to be more tolerant, they say. Well yes they do, more tolerant of people with sensitive ears that is! Yelling at or insulting parents who can't keep their baby quiet would be a sign of intolerance, wanting to stay away from a crying baby isn't. This. I don't think I would mind ...

If you think this post is aimed at you it's probably not aimed at you and just your anxiety , the members I'm on about don't give a f**k what others think of them unless they are trying to manipulate. I'm replying to this with tachycardia, which I've had since last night when I read a post that did...

It's about time something like this was introduced. Being stuck next to a 1 or 2-year-old on a long flight journey is my idea of a nightmare and surely I can't be the only one. http://igvofficial.com/airline-has-intr ... re-seated/ I fly a LOT. In the past, I found that if I did not pre-selcet my s...

Seeing as he scammed you out of $300, I'd say good riddance. Yeah, don't give money to people in that fashion. Especially those whom you've never even met in person. Personally, I wouldn't count any interaction that has remained only online as a real romantic relationship anyway. I think you would ...

If a woman tells you matter of factly about her period, then you know that you’ve established trust and rapport. At the age of 20 I had a female coworker tell me about her kidney stones and I didn't get the hint that maybe, just maybe she trusted me and was waiting for me to ask her out. If talking...

a woman who wants you to hit on her is not going to tell you about her kidney stones. That's friend- zone topic matter. Didja ever notice that most 'experts' on all-things-female seem to be men? It's like that old mechanic-without-a-car situation: how can anyone trust what they say? I do often get ...

I had a bizarre experience today. A person I know well told me she was jealous of my autism. When I asked her why, she said it made me and another person we know (an aspie) special. She said that she was jealous cause she didn’t feel she was special in any way. I was angry at what she said and aske...

Unless you are leaving some part of her response out or how she said it (was she flip? glib?): I may be empathy impaired but that was mean of you. She said she doesn't feel special but you focused on how you felt insulted instead of the fact she obviously has low self esteem. Aren't you a counselor...
