There are times when somebody thinks of a person as being flirty-----when they WANT that person to be flirty. Sometimes, that's really the only explanation. I might, say, see flirtatious eyes in a woman when there is no flirtation present at all. Merely because I WANT that woman that to flirt with ... |

And as for making music: The Soundcloud link already is included in my signature. But not everyone reads signatures even :). Because of that, I am writing this post. There would be 19 tracks right now. And my Soundcloud space exists for more than one reason. One of them is an attempt of contributing... |

Thanks, I'll try your suggestions. You are welcome. FYI, as soon as there are some Learning Process News, you could make a short follow-up. Then I _probably_ would be able to give some new suggestions. "If the person who asked the question is able to assemble these puzzle pieces, possibly comb... |

OMG yes! Happens to me too. Have no idea what to do with it. Think it may have something to do with wonky eye contact, but how do you fix that? The moment you start focusing on your eye contact is the moment when it really becomes noticeable. There may be a minor work-around: Looking at one eye, th... |

If someone has tips on the not coming off as flirty thing please let me know as well. I'm lost. I remember talking to an older male friend and he said that he kind of knew I liked him because of a conversation we had before some r=years back. I thought I wasn't even thinking sex or anything how did... |

Just a short follow-up post: This thread still would be intended to be a learner's personal diary. But again :), that doesn't mean at all that feedback isn't possible. On the contrary. If there would be more feedback and input, then I could continue it in a better way even. And if what I previously ... |

You can start as many threads as you want—as long as you don’t start threads about the same thing all the time, or post about the same thing in multiple subfora. I post almost 30 times a day. Nobody has said that I post too much. Also: respond to the threads of others, as well as start threads. It’... |

Welcome to WP! Good to see another language fan. I wouldn't' really consider myself a polyglot, but I studied linguistics in college. I'm near-fluent in German, took two semesters of Russian (loved the language, but damn, those verbs man), and a few weeks of Arabic. How would you rank your fluency ... |

Thanks for your reply. In response: [...] I wish that I would have been able to reply much earlier than just now. But because of something that wasn't at all in my hands, I couldn't do so. As for a (relatively) detailed answer on your specific learning situation , I now posted it at a language foru... |

It varies. Welcome to WP. I have an interest in languages, but can't get over a certain hump level - I think it is somewhere between advanced beginner and intermediate. I can get the basics but then get lost when it starts getting more complicated. Any tips for that? I have functional knowledge of ... |

Thank you, too, for the welcome.
And do you all know what keeps puzzling me a bit?
I still am not sure if WP is a site where people tend to talk very much (I mean by writing posts), or where the conversations usually are rather slow-paced.
Anybody tell me? |

My previous post just made me laugh. So many smilies. But they reflect my very real overall mood, not just now, but currently this is the main mood even. Adding one more smiley: . |

I can read German without much trouble. Hearing depends on the accent and how fast one speaks. But i cannot say i master it. It is actually confusing, as it is so close to Dutch and vice versa. So i will mix up words. It does sound funny. I would like to learn Swedish sometime. That is a language t... |

Je komt uit België? This is quite close. But actually, I live in Germany. However, I have been learning Dutch for some time. It currently isn't really fully included in the languages I can speak without thinking too much. But it is one of my top priorities, and when I read something in Nederlands, ... |

Edit: something went wrong here... lost the entire reply i typed :x I liked listening to you playing the vibraphone. Especially the lower notes. Welcome to Wrong Planet! :) Thanks for the welcome. After having read your signature, there is also something that came to my mind when people like us would like to... y'know... make NTs more aware of ourselves having a different perception sometimes. Just as... well, for example ... I ... already ... |
