When it's a common occurence that you realize years or decades later what someone was actually trying to say or what they intended, because you remember basically everything that ever happens even when you don't understand.

In order not to get fired, mainly. Sometimes it's to preserve relationships with NTs who are important to the aspie, like a teacher for example whose help is needed.

So, rest assured it's not people pleasing behavior as much as it is a survival tactic.

I've talked to a lot of people with Asperger's both diagnosed and not, who say that they do not have meltdowns. So don't worry, it's definitely not a requirement.
