Ugh, I'm awful at this, and people keep not wanting me too close to them because of it. I just can't keep track of what can be shared and what can't! And it's just one more thing to keep track of in conversations with people, which are already so overloaded already. I can't figure out how to respond... |

Sometimes I lose the words in my head like AceOfPens, but also often I have a complete phrase in my head as if I'm speaking it but I just can't remember how to move my mouth and breath to make the words come out. |

I've been trying journaling for this kind of thing. Instead of venting my frustration at other people, I write it into the journal. It's nice because I can write as angrily as I would otherwise yell. The only trick is recognizing when I need to stop interacting with the other person and turn to the ... |

I can't count calories either. For food I stick to a few rules of thumb: at least half the plate is veggies for lunch and dinner, meat portion is at max the size of a pack of cards, grains are whole grains only. I do most of my weight loss through exercise to shift my metabolism. If exercise is an o... |

The partners I'm still with (I'm poly) I met because I was a regular at parties for a sexuality-focused subculture. The relationship with one of them developed gradually from seeing each other at parties to doing more and more with each other at the parties to deciding we'd like to just go get lunch... |

Not yet I don't, but I might in a year or two. Planning to start trying for a kid soon if I can get my primary partner past his nerves about the idea. And if I don't change my mind before that haha. |

There are citizen science projects for bird research that you can also join. Like NestWatch and FeederWatch. I think you sign up online and then they mail you instructions for how to participate from your own backyard. |

Sometimes when I'm upset I only want to be touched in specific ways. Like, firm pressure is reassuring but light touches are awful, and some parts of my body feel horrible if touched while others are ok. I've found that if I tell my partner that I've become touch sensitive, and I've let him know tha... |

It's really unlikely she would choose that as a lie. There's so much stigma around having herpes she wouldn't willingly risk starting a false rumor that she has it. |

Also, have you yourself ever been tested for herpes? If you have oral herpes already you will be mostly protected from genital herpes anyway. Then you won't have to worry about it. Or, like me, you might get tested, having never had symptoms, and find out you also have genital herpes. You really can... |

Check out the rates of both genital and oral herpes in the population. Especially check the rates of asymptomatic infections! Herpes isn't rare, and MOST people have one form or the other. For myself I've only ever had a single outbreak and only knew what it was because I specifically demanded to be... |

I often forget until I get shaky. The worst is when then you're too hungry to make something! I try to keep healthy snacks around for when that happens. |
