By default I am non-interactive. If I acquire new knowledge on a special interest, or encounter a person who lacks knowledge on said interest, I will monologue. I rarely desire a response.

In more formal settings I have a small talk script. When I run out of lines I'm doomed.

For me, mostly visual stims  . Very hard to detect for someone on the outside, aside from the classic "side-eye", of course. I dis align my eyes so that I see double, then line up the double image in different ways. Make my vision blur and make the lights dance. Stare at intriguing p...

When I look at bugs I can feel them at the back of my throat. And when someone sneezes, even if they are yards away and facing opposite myself, I feel spit drops on my cheek. Do these count?

With my hands, yes. Only hard enough to give me a headache for roughly a day or two, which I don't think is too serious. When I was younger it was always the wall, but the older I got the more aware it became that everyone in the house could probably hear it.

Are you talking headphones that play music or earmuffs that people wear on construction sites and such? If headphones, they're never cheap, ever. If earmuffs, you can get a slim-fitting women's/children's set for around 20 bucks on Amazon. 4 year old neighbour has a pair, super cute, they fit me ju...

I've never been to a reservation myself, but my cousin is in the rcmp and has been posted on two. I don't know about their attitudes towards autism specifically, but my cousin says the people who live there are decent enough people when they're not drunk or on drugs. Tell your cousin that the last ...

You could try tying trains into a different topic somehow, the things they ship and the places they go, for example. However, if nothing seems to work, trains are super cool.

For most of my childhood it was cats, then I found out cats were worshipped by ancient Egyptians, that was my next one. Ancient Egypt led to modern day Egypt which led to politics. Then MBTI, then psychology, now it's brain disorders (primarily ASD and its common comorbid conditions). Sometimes I wi...

If it wasn't a disability, it would be in the results for a personality test. Not the dsm-5

Disorders of the brain, currently. Mainly ASD, but I'm not picky. Also useless trivia.

There are other things I'm interested in. But those are things I enjoy doing, not discussing.

At home I was always very aloof. But if we were outside of the house, or if company was over, I'd stick to my parents or older sister like glue. Lessens the chance that I'd have to engage with strangers.
