In registered as a democrat for primary purposes, and I am on the left, but i don't really define myself as a democrat more than in name only. I'm not a party loyalist, but a free thinker bound to ideas. I'll even vote third party if I feel dissatisfied with democrats. I feel like maintaining indepe... |

Nope, I welcome the rise of the left. The way I see it the right is responsible for many problems that exist today and we need a paradigm shift to fix our country. While i dont always agree with the left on HOW to get there, i agree with the sentiment that we are a country in need of serious change. |

Democrats are being aggressive with abortion rights because with kavanaugh on the court we may face a real challenge to roe v wade and blue states are being proactive and aggressively pushing laws to keep abortion legal if that happens. This means laws like stuff that allows late term abortion. It's... |

I am starting to have more mixed feelings about bernie, like I like what he says what he stands for....but I can't help feeling like some of his base is getting a bit toxic. Like its bernie or no one for them and not sure he's doing enough to discourage that attitude. I mean if he doesn't get the n... |

I never cared for this statement for similar reasons. It comes off as extremely jingoistic. To me, the purpose of society is to take care of its citizens. The government is the tool of the people, not the other way around, and as such we should be asking what the country (state) can do for us to mak... |

Trump obviously, but also a lot of democrats. I HATE Joe Biden as a candidate and he represents everything wrong with the democratic party. Hickenlooper and Delaney are also terrible. Then you got semi terrible centrist candidates like Harris and Gilliland and Buttigieg. Here's the thing. I believe ... |

Quote: find what you say interesting, but unless I'm wrong, you seem to say that the GOP party (ie establishment) chose Trump as "their" candidate. I would disagree; or if they did technically, it was with extreme reluctance
I meant the voters. |

GOP has been increasingly worse since the 80s-90s. I think a lot of it is due to the prevalence of right wing talk radio like rush limbaugh rising in the 80s and 90s and the removal of the fairness doctrine that led to the right developing more and more of an echo chamber. Combine this with the GOP ... |

Again it depends on the industry. I already pointed out housing in areas like SF likely wouldnt apply to that rule. The problem is lack of competition and intense supply and demand. That won't apply to the whole economy and if any business tried to raise prices they could just go somewhere else. Thi... |

I dont think it will cause inflation assuming: 1) It's revenue neutral and uses taxation to fund it, rather than increasing the money supply 2) markets are competitive enough to make raising prices impossible/difficult Millions of people recieve aid as it is, they recieve welfare, disability, social... |

You support the constitution right?
8th amendment, no cruel and unusual punishment. We are to be humane to criminals. Give them their day in court and deal with them in a relatively non painful way. |
