For me, it's figuring out how long I need to complete certain tasks. Finding time to clean in my busy college student schedule is one thing, but knowing how long I need to do certain tasks is another. This is often where I get stuck and I don't want to start something I can't finish. So I never star...

I feel this, too. I am diagnosed as Level 1 Requiring Support. I have trouble planning and organizing and think this might be getting in the way, since cleaning uses a lot of these executive functions. I am unsure how to work around it, though. Vacuums are terrible with their loud noise, so when min...

I have problems with vacuums, too, but it's the loud sound that bothers me, not so much the size. The vacuums I need are unaffordable. I'm thinking about getting a little cordless handheld for those times I need it and just sweeping or mopping the rest of the time. My vacuum broke and I do not have ...

I have been studying Calculus and am about to go into my third class of it. I also love the chemistry and physics, though I haven't quite done physics yet. I do have 2 chemistry classes, however.

I hope I am never forced to use it, too. It's too volatile. Someone can hack into your Bitcoin wallet and make off with all your money, leaving you with nothing to pay your bills with. Once you do a transaction, you cannot get a refund if you make a mistake. Most stores I know do not accept Bitcoin ...

Vimeo is another video site, but read their agreement carefully. I chose not to use vimeo because I could not sensibly agree to it.

I am not someone that attends crowded events, and I really push myself with the studying. I love doing math and the hard sciences and want an environmental career that I am capable of doing. I am definitely a hard worker, even if I do not have a lot of income to start with. I have so far earned a 3....

I am classified as disabled and started at the community college. These accept everyone. If you get good grades here, you are more likely to get accepted to a university. Also, every institution has a student disabilities office, though each calls it a different name. You should seek out this office...

You don't say what major you want to study. I'm doing environmental engineering. Plan on taking Calculus twice if your major requires it. I got a better grade on the second try because I understood the material better. Your major will dictate what classes you need. Start at the community college as ...

I have been taking 1 class all this time and now I must take 2 to qualify for financial aid because the tuition is higher. I am going to start with Multivariable Calculus and Intro to Sociology, combining a hard and an easy class. I'd be studying all the time if I did that. The classes are not as ea...

~1) How did you hear about your college? I started at a Community College and picked a nearby university. My next University I chose for the major I need, Environmental Engineering, the in-state location and the affordable tuition rate. This will be about Southern Connecticut State University, wher...

Mine, it seems, is a little visual and more kinesthetic. Actually doing things after seeing them done. So, like I can watch videos of something, but then I need interaction. Khan Academy has been a great resource for me to supplement my class material with. It's interactive and lets me practice unti...

Just to add to my original post. I took VARK in another post and discovered I am a strong kinesthetic learner. I scored 7 on visual and 13 on kinesthetic. Would like to incorporate this into my studies, but am not sure how. No wonder I don't like to sit for long periods and just read or do math prob...

I am a strong kinesthetic learner. I learn best by demonstration, then application. In education, I have to watch the professor's lectures and take notes, then read whatever material was assigned and find ways to apply it to my life. The lab was the best place in my hard science classes. In math, it...

I have found that I have to take the Calculus 2 times, but once I understand it, I enjoy doing it. The algebra was pretty straightforward for me, and I did well in it. I usually do better on the second try with the Calculus. I got a tutor to help me with that, but I still have 2 classes left to take...
