I just had to post a reply to this. I am at the other extreme. You talk about guys who obsess over women, who kind of hover around them or make too much contact with them. I, on the other hand, don't pay them much attention at all. I'm aloof, distant, and only speak when I have something to say. I d...

Umm.... I don't think that most people who argue against logic really are going to argue for mathematics much. Especially given that the foundations of mathematics are likely more questionable than the foundations of logical analysis. As it stands, we cannot know all of the right math in the univer...

Hmm. What's wrong with changing who you are? Isn't wanting change a part of who you are? The want to better yourself? Perhaps most people restrict this betterment to eating healthier, losing weight, getting a relationship, making friends. A cure is no different to being taught techniques to make fri...

They're your friends, right? I'd have to agree with most of the advice. Just make fun of them back. Like, "F*** you", "Ok, but you're the bi**h", or "I didn't know you took it up the bum" crap like that.

This article is a very VERY interesting take on how "mental disorders" are often the result of disillusioned people who see reality a little too clearly. The original can be found at this interesting website: http://www.damninteresting.com/the-total-perspective-vortex Most people think of the “menta...

Hmm, it seems to me that any debate about logic tends to focus on the semantic formalization of its use. To argue against its absolute nature, would be to argue against mathematics itself. If I were to state: "If A is a subset of B, and if B is a subset of C, then A is a subset of C", or to further ...

I'm not sure that it would necessarily be that logicians created logic. It isn't like we say that mathematicians created mathematics or that scientists created science. A lot of people do say that mathematicians create mathematics. There are mathematicians on both sides of the issue. While doubtles...

I know it's a cliche but wet or dry? I'm really curious. I know Australia is hot. My mother was in Perth once and she told me something like 110 in the shade. I have a question, but don't you guys measure the heat in the shade too? For you guys from arizona, here's a fun fact about Marble Bar, the ...

Perhaps a pill for the adult autistics would not be feasable. But who would not want to lessen the severity of the non-beneficial effects of autism? Such might not be so far off. If there are some contributing factors other than wiring, you could not construe their control as being a fundamental cha...

This was the one good thing about war. It helped keep the population down. These days, wars are fought with just a few well-trained soldiers, not the hundreds of thousands of cannon fodder.

Yeah, I don't have meltdowns anymore either. As a kid, I used to have them all the time, but I'm able to avoid them now. I think it causes me to forget. Things that would overload me get forgotten along with events surrounding it, so I need a lot of things coming at me at once to cause me to meltdown.
