I think she means high IQ but low EQ but I might be wrong.

I find it really depends on the person. Some liberals don't like some autistic people because we speak what's on our minds and that can be un-PC and come off as insensitive. On the other hand some conservatives think we are weirdos. I think people with less conservative personalities tend to like au...

I agree with the general principles of libertarianism for the most part, but I think dismantling public property and the welfare state entirely is madness, and inhumane.

I subscribe to the view that autistic people have brains that are "under-pruned" of connections, therefore a lot of experiences that are not intense for non-autistic people are quite intense for autistic people. I think we tend to experience sensory information more strongly. I don't view ...

I was stomped in the head repeatedly during an attack several yrs ago, and in another incident experienced a spike driven into my thigh. I felt no pain either time. Paper cut? I become a big baby. I'm really sorry to hear that. I think sometimes extreme forms of physical trauma can cause our bodies...

I think the idea of low vs high functioning is dated. It mostly has to do with verbal ability. If you can talk reasonably well, people will say you have Asperger's. If you can't, they will slap you with the "low-functioning" label. I think in some ways Aspies and HFA people are treated wor...

Yeah, I've shoplifted a few times, and I used to steal money from my parents' wallet. Not proud of it.

Now that I've worked though, I would never steal from someone again. I've come to realize that money is difficult to earn, making $11 an hour.

I have mild/borderline Asperger's. I have a brother that's on the spectrum, I think my older younger sister also has some Broader Autism Phenotype characteristics but functions as a neurotypical. My other two brothers and sister are neurotypical.

It seems like autistic people tend to be Thinking types, and usually lead with Ti or Ni. However I have known some ESxP Aspies too. I would guess INTJ is probably the most common MBTI type for someone with Aspergers followed by INTP. I don't know about other autistic people though, I feel like non-v...

I'm Aspie/bipolar and I drink quite often, although I'm not an alcoholic. I think a lot of autistic people are really into rules and laws and might see alcohol as being against the rules.
