I like all good ST. Where is the thread on ST: Picard? I should go there and leave it at that. The graphics in Discovery are pretty amazing though. I am stoked for this. Though, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about 7 of 9 yet. Not that I didn't like her character, just an interesting juxtaposition.

The only slight flaw I can say is that I don't like the way there are some minor characters that are on screen enough and have enough dialog that you want to know more about them, but with one or two exceptions, so far the show hasn't ever focused on them enough to ever feel like you know them. I c...

That, if I may be so bold, was a very impressive introduction. Welcome, I look forward to reading more. A smiley face hardly seems appropriate, but :D

Thank you kindly. :cat:

If you're willing to let us know what country and what major metropolitan area you live in or near, someone here might be able to give you advice on seeking an adult ASD diagnosis in your area (not the easiest thing to find). I am definitely curious about this and would be appreciative of any advic...

Anyone else a new fan to or otherwise enjoying watching Star Trek: Discovery? I've been a long time fan of ST. TNG is my ultimate, for what I would consider to be classic ST, with Voyager and DS9 as close seconds. I realize Discovery is "not your parents' Star Trek". However, I am thorough...

I'm a casual fan in the sense that I don't follow it super closely, but I watch the series off and on, and typically see the movies when they come out on video. MLP will always hold a special place for me. I hated dolls and barbies and so the only franchised "gender-appropriate" toy I like...

Progress has been made, but it's far from complete. Tolerance isn't the same as acceptance, and imo, isn't enough. Even within the LGBT+ community there are still issues. I feel a deep dismay for the exclusion I see from the other letters in that acronym towards people who are trans, especially in U...

I'm gay and also consider myself an agnostic atheist for reasons similar to what others have expressed in this thread. There is currently no data that can be acquired after death, so I cannot possess the absolute certainty of atheism. I do not believe in the anthropomorphization of a spiritual deity...

...this is yet another intro. I know some witty things to say, and some jovial ones too. I looked at other posts to see if there was a norm to how these ought to be structured that might offer the most direct path to acceptance, even if I don't like having the desire to seek a path towards acceptanc...
