Thanks teach51 for that summary. It seems to be a very honest assesment of what is going on. I am used to either reading stuff that is overly optimistic and simple (which is just not compatible with what I've experienced in the real world, although usually written by well meaning people) or the overl...

A lot of members here seem to have trouble to understand the concept of "probability" and "standard deviation". They also deny some biological facts. They talk as if each member of humanity (whatever the sex) has a totally unique set of mating preferences, as if no preferences o...

Is it a myth or not that a lot of women really dislike men with aspergers? Myth. However, many women do tend to shy away from men who are needy , lack confidence , and/or behave in ways that are inappropriate to the situation at hand. You don't have to have A.S. to display these behaviors, so it is...

They probably are.
A good portion of us here are 30 or older, so we tend to like older men.

Interesting, I kind of expected mostly 20 or 30 yr olds
I was a bit shocked.

I would agree that most NT women are not attracted to a nerdy look or behavior. I haven't had much social contact with aspie women to know if (most of them) are the same or not. I'm saying this out of life experience and things I've been told over the years. Its not misogyny. Misogyny would be expre...

Did you start treating her like a stranger because of this behaviour you describe her doing? I think that's what your post is saying. So when B is present she actually talks to you and is friendly? I take it you've said something to her like 'why are you only friendly when B is around?' If so, Iwoul...

I bought some eggs.the cashier looks to make sure they are not broken. One of mine was broken.she asked if i wanted her to reduce the price or if I wanted another box. I wanted a new box to have the extra egg but it took me about two minutes to get the new box. The cashier must've rolled her eyes at...

I don't think NT women like us. Aspires have to really try to be more outgoing with them..which gives a false impression.

Did you order the food as a teenager?

If so that is unusual to be afraid. Does the restaurant have any religious decorations?

Thanks for that example it was pretty good. I have a bad habit of telling instead of showing/describing. I keep talking to people in a way which insults their intelligence,I can't help it, I don't know how i picked up that habit. I think the principles you talked about apply to most forms of communi...

Well, I don't think there was a problem with your sentences, but it was quite hard to get the gist of what you were saying. Maybe you could make your general point up front, and then the reader would understand that the other sentences are explaining that point in more detail? Like with technical r...
