I have been at this website for about two months now, and since I came here, and from way before that, I have been wondering if I really have AS. I want to seek diagnosis, however, I am afraid that I am simply being a hypocondriac and will waste the doctor's time...So if you guys do not mind, I will...

I deliever my local paper. I hate the job...but, as I see it, it puts money in my pocket (very little money, but still)...I plan to leave this job in June if my town hires me as a camp counsellor...

I am currently a paper girl, with the aspiration to become a History professor. I may also profess in one of the sciences as well...which one, I don't know yet, but I am finding physics oddly interesting. I am a bit worried about becoming a professor though...I want to do it because I love to learn ...

Something about programming draws me...but what we learn in class repels me...We are learning Pascal, and we...or they at least...will do Java in grade 12. I am dropping Computer Science. I am do it- I am program...But what we are doing this year barely qualifies as entertaining...and next year is w...

I have the same problem. At first, it was only my French teacher who pointed it out, my monotone and my lisp...but I have always struggled with French pronounciation and whatnot so I blamed it on that. And thus, each oral presentation brought my mark down, with no end in sight. And then I did an Eng...

I am very distrustful of direct compliments...Like when people go up to you and directly say 'your work is so good', 'you're so smart'...They typically lead to 'can you help me with this question' (explaining things to other people borders painful for me) or 'whats the answer to this'...So when I ge...

Hey. I am fifteen and I live in Toronto, Canada. I am self d/x with Asperger's. I talk too much once I am comfortable with my surroundings. I can't give compliments though, and I forget as much as to give people cards on their birthdays (which are frivilious nonsense to me). I speak English, and I c...

I don't think Bush is dumb...honestly...I think he wants us to think that he is dumb...Or not quite 'dumb' per say, but 'average joe'...To me, he looks like a rich, well educated guy trying to act as average joe, and doing a crappy job of it. As for the remark that Osama is dodging bullets in Afghan...

Catholics don't believe a lot of things that Protestants believe. Actually, my Protestant friends don't believe that Catholics are christians at all! I wanted to give them the history of the Christian Church, but I got 'flustered' and decided to give in. In my opinion, and I really don't mean to off...

I know you wrote this like a month ago...I hope this isn't too late.. I have always had the same problem you have. Things get too easy, I stop caring, grades fall. My way to combat it, and trust me- this is NOT easy- is to force myself to focus. To focus, you need a reward- my reward is that I won't...

At my school we don't really have a hierarchy of cliques. We left that behind in elementary school. However, within the clique, there is a hierarchy...I am in the middle of the hierarchy in mine only because there is a girl in my group who has the mentality of an eight year old (fact, not an insult)...

I had a 'boyfriend' when I was eleven. I could not get close to him, so I ended up dumping him three times. After the third time, I asked him not to ask me out again and promptly picked up a hot guy (well, my original bf was not bad looking) who ended up 'cheating' on me by asking this other girl ou...

15 and still a virgin. Not unusual at all. The majority of kids in my grade are virgins. I don't think I will loose my virginity until I go to university, and even then, I would have to have a really close bond with the guy I would do it with...I am not very good with that kind of closeness...actual...

I think that Asperger's is a lot more common in girls than we are currently led to believe- however, I still think that boys have it more often than girls. Girls have a lot of social pressure to be a certain way. So do boys, however, I find that boys do not go to the extremes that girls do to fit in...
