I agree with sacrip. Trying to act normal, will make you look more awkward. At least that is what happens with me. I don't think there's actually such thing as normal, everybody has some quirks and weird things about them. It is not about appearing normal, but about appearing adequate to the job. Fir... |

I went through a similar situation once and was worried about the same thing.. A friend that worked in HR advised me to send an e-mail after a week and say that I was following up on the job offer. I was a bit worried but it went quite well, actually, the HR manager asked me to send her my resumé ag... |

Granted: You take part in a clinical trial of a new drug that supresses alcoholism. As a side effect your skin turns grey with purple spots. Since you were the only one with that side effect, the FDA deems the drug safe to use and is released to open market.

Sooooooo I guess I'm playing devil's advocate I watched this film with a buddy (both of us are physicists) and the thing is: If I were to be very exquisite about physical laws, I'd be rendered unable to enjoy a lot of movies, specially those that take place in space. But hey, It's about being entert... |

What would be the point of going to the moon? Just getting away? I mean, then what? It would be pretty much the same as moving into a deserted island but without all the trouble of terraforming a celestial body and settling there. But don't worry, It'll take a while for machines taking over, and by... |

So let's take this apart. I know this forum is for politics, but as I understand it, this is for philosophy too. I must say that this thread has taken a slightly sarcastic turn. I was trying to put out an olive branch. In my best effort of being serious, and without targetting anybody specifically. I think most people, have no evil at heart. They just try to do what they thought is best for the world around t... |
