I have close to 200 credit hrs. of college, mostly upper-division classes, and a Bachelor of General Studies. I changed majors so many times because I had so many interests. With just a few more classes, I could get B.A.s in English and Psychology. I really love science, but was unable to get too fa...

My eyes were blue until puberty, then they changed to kind of an olive green with hazel flecks. Sometimes they look almost totally hazel, and other times they look emerald green.

Hi Tim - I live in the Metroplex. I'm not a female, so I can't help you on the dating thing, but I could help you with your isolation. Next time you're in DFW and you feel like going for coffee or a few games of pool or something like that, I would be up to it. Just let me know when you are coming t...

Hey Ana, I have also saved myself from suicide by taking vicoden. This helped for a couple of years until I got addicted and began taking way too much. To deal with the opiate addiction, I began a drug called 'Suboxone'. It targets only one select type of opiate receptor and prevents opiate withdraw...

When I was about 5, I wanted to hurry up and be an adult so I could understand all the weird stuff in my head. I guess I thought college would 'cure' me or something.

I have gone through periods (including now) where it is rarely far from my mind. I do see it as a reasonable option if things get too bad, if certain things go wrong at the wrong time, etc. I am so worn out from so many years of the B.S., and I feel just flat out of energy to make the changes (quitt...

The U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay is nothing short of a modern day concentration camp, where psychological torture is substituted for physical torture, so as not to leave observable wounds. Basically the whole world knows this, except, apparently, way too many Americans. It is currently ou...

Hi Woodsman,
Good luck with your withdrawal plan. It sounds reasonable, and you have to go with what you think is best. Thanks for welcoming me to the board.
Cheers,

Hi woodsman, I really sympathize with your addiction to painkillers. I was seriously addicted to them myself until 6 months ago. That's when I started a medication called Suboxone. It is a partial opiate agonist, which means that it only targets one type of opiate recepter (there are several types o...

Hi Ya'll, I'm a 46-yr-old guy, single, living with 3 of the finest feline critters imaginable. I have been considering the AS diagnosis for some time, given the fact that I have about 80% of the characteristics of AS that I have read about. I have been in psychiatric treatment for 28 years, and I ha...
