First of all, a lot of "fundamentalist theism" is actually just greed, nationalism, racism or some other form of hatred/need to conquer in disguise. Joan of Arc used God as an excuse to rid France of the English (not saying she was a bad person, but still, it was a good excuse). Many Muslim nations ...

I meet my current BF 5 years ago and he also has a lot of As traits and e get along better then I have in any previous relationships. I need constant reassurances, so I don't consider this a bad thing...just get in the habit of saying how much you like her a few times a day.( It just relieves some ...

I'm hoping this topic is a joke. As a white guy dating a latin girl (and she's NOT a cleaning lady, mind you), I find this concept rather offensive. It has nothing to do with status, and she's not looking up to me because I'm white. Like was mentioned elsewhere in the thread, it sounds like a seriou...

...which is kind of like the ludicrous getting a job when you have no experience and they all want experience loop. Best to be yourself, in spite of what all the nay sayers and so-called dating gurus say. If the real you is insecure and unconfident because you've had your hopes dashed 10,000 times ...

Nothing spectacular. Just the girlfriend and I at a get-together last week.

It seems to kick in after 2 or 3 days for me and for my girlfriend as well. Still neither of us says "I've missed you" or "I miss you." It's handled more like "heh... not seeing you for more than 2 or 3 days kinda sucks, doesn't it?" Response: "Yeah... it does." I suppose it's the same thing in diff...

Brief is usually better for an introduction like that. Also sometimes mentioning the friend that "referred" you helps establish an early bond which can overcome some typical introductory pressures. Possessing a mutual friend gives you an "excuse" to talk to him, which is something a lot of people se...

After reading through this thread, I have a few points... 1.) You can't treat women like crap, and turn it into a meaningful relationship, as the "gangstas" do. Sure, they may get these women for a time... but eventually she'll grow tired of them. Unless, of course, the woman is a complete moron. Fo...

Mating can be reduced to a mathematical formula, almost. Each partner brings something to the table, and ultimately the total summation of what they bring should be relatively equal for a relationship to work. If it's not equal, one partner will feel like they got a raw deal and will eventually leav...

I'd say just be yourself, but don't come out right away with the diagnosis. The first few dates (I'd say even the first month) are very touchy, and if the other person sees a potential problem it could be the end of it, not because they are shallow, but because they don't know you. Once they know yo...

I suspect my girlfriend might have AS... and that realization hit me after I started thinking just how similar we were in certain, quirky, ways (and I almost definitely have it). I've been with her for two months now, which seems so short for how close we've become, and it's been an insane ride. I'v...

God's existence cannot be proven, but neither can it be disproven. What this results in is a crisis of faith. If, for instance, you do not believe in God or any other supreme deity, then you believe the universe was spontaneously generated by itself (Big Bang maybe, or some other method). This is ju...

I should also add, sociologically speaking, monogamy is the only reason Aspies exist in the numbers they do... Think about it... if we lived in a society in which polygamy was considered the norm, then large numbers of women would congregate around relatively small numbers of men (this happens in th...

But if polygamy were legal would it be possible to marry more than one goat at a time? And now that we're into trans-species marriage, perhaps people should be able to marry endangered species to save them. I keep getting e-mail from Nigeria where an attractive mountain gorilla named Giselle is loo...

The topic is polygamy, not polygyny: it would be technically possible, were it legal, for there to be marriages with more than one man as well. I think it would be fine, with some limitations: minimum age of 25 for all participants, any participant must have lived away from home for at least a year...
