No they're not better than you, they have just found what they want to do

Try aiming for something that you will enjoy, and the rest will follow

Trick is just don't give up.

If this is through the NHS you're in for a fun time. I had to go private otherwise I was gonna be on a waiting list for over a year. And if you even live anywhere close to the north they tell you your appointment is in Sheffield of all places because that's the NHS main hub for autism. It's about a...

Do you have any areas in particular that you want more information on? Or any questions you would like answers to? I think my diagnosis of Schizophrenia and Autism is a bit of a long shot. I don't trust either diagnosis to be honest. This is what needs unpicking, but in the UK where I live the NHS ...

My post-diagnostic support was the specialist not bothering to dial in on my pdoc appointment as promised, being told to pay for a self-help book and being asked to engage a charity for adults with Autism that has a waiting list so long, they won’t even put me on it. Now I don't see the point of thi...

I can really relate to this. My other diagnosis is Schizophrenia, and that you definitely do not tell people who don't know you well enough. I got diagnosed with ASD in May, and there has been nothing done to help with supports. Getting to 33 and then being diagnosed is a hard pill to swallow, as al...

I wear Tommy Hilfiger t-shirts most days. I don't like things with big logos. Their sizing works for me so I can order online when they have 50% off sales. The material of their t-shirts is also good quality and they last longer than cheaper t-shirts from the supermarket. Trousers I usually wear swe...

What I don't understand is that people online seem to relate Level 1 Autism to be the equivalent of having Aspergers, but I was told different by this professional. I am kinda finding this all hard to navigate, as if it was something worth worrying about then why Level 1. Just seems like a nothing l...

The key was functionality. If your autism behaviors only mildly affect your function, it was Aspergers. If they significantly impact your function, it was Autism. I was confused by my diagnosis as I was told I had ASD Level 1, but the assessor said that it wasn't Aspergers. I don't know how to make...

I can relate to you totally.

I lost my job in March to Autistic Burnout, and I am still struggling to get out of it.

It's really annoying me that I have so much support from people right now, but I feel that it really is just not helpful.

The INTJ is roughly represented by 2% of the general population.

Highly skewed for ASD based on this

I.e. you've lost all er, interest in your special interests, and you have neither the money nor the willpower to pick up new ones. And so you're just going on day by day like a robot. I feel this day to day thing. I hate it so much. I used to have many special interests, but now I just have obsessi...

I am terrible at these tests.

Years ago I did one that said I had an IQ of about 125

Recently I took one that said my IQ was 80

Not sure if my mind is in decline.

I also have Schizophrenia, so that might be contributing to these lower scores.

Can "the psychologist" contact your parents, and impress on them that teasing, while instinctive, is only effective for minor adjustments? I like to keep my parents separate to the therapy, as I talk to this person about a lot of stuff that I have internalised. Kinda sucks that she has fo...

I'm sorry your parents have taken this tack in responding to your diagnosis. Do you live with your parents?. I have lived independently for 4 years now. It would have been nice to continue living with just my mother, but my step dad is the main instigator. How come I get told I am Autistic yet he c...
