Its unuasal nowadays that two or more people sleep in the same room, except their girlfriend or boyfriend. I obviously would have no problem with sleeping in the same room as my boyfriend. (Im gay) But not with strangers.

But some people perceive this as being spoiled. But a group home isnt only simply for housing. And privacy is very important.

I obvously wont go to a goup home where privacy ist nonexistent. I wont go to a group home where i have to sleep with someone else in my room.

My biggest fear is that such a group home, is more like a prison than a home.

Im scared that they might not accept that im gay, and maybe because of that they will not allow any relationships. I dont want them necessarily find out that im gay or that i habe a boyfriend for example. Maybe you're not even allowed to have any relationsship at all?

What about relationsships? Will relationsships be allowed? How much will they be limited? Or are relationsships usually banned inside as well as outside the group home? But just how strict are they? Or are there many Different types of group homes that range from homes for the severely disabled to only slightly disabled?

Of course it makes sense to ban now visits, and going outside because od corona. But if they do this normally too, isnt it more like a prison?

I could have been on disability. I had a catastrophic injury which would have allowed me to easily collect SSDI. And my benefits would have been quite adequate to live on. But, I chose not to. Im i ungrateful if i reject money from the government ( disability benefits) because i dont want to be dependent in others and lose my freedom? I just dont want to work in a protected workplace and live in assisted living, or in german "betreutes wohnen" because i value freedom very much....
