But you did notice the mushroom spots, you just had no prior information on the relevance of that detail. Paying attention to things can't bring the desired result without a framework of knowledge for acting on what you perceive. o_0 There really are some fungi and plants that are supposed to have s... |

Back when I took it, I scored higher than average, then stopped and contemplated why I almost never pick up other people's emotions in real-life interactions. It probably comes down to my inability to sustain mutual eye contact long enough to gather data. In fact, I'm normally fidgeting so much that... |

Aww, yet more psychiatric labels that describe me perfectly? The more of those I have, the less anyone is going to take me seriously! Haha, no, never mind, that's not a concern when there's barely anyone who needs to know I exist in the first place. ^_^; |

I can definitely see stalking. It's so hard to tell whether someone is shy like oneself or experiencing a technical outage or just hoping you'll go away. I can also see impulsive violence, i.e. self-defense in situations where people of other neurological configurations would not be in enough pain a... |

What puzzles me is that there actually is a slightly-noticeable characteristic "look" for spectrumites, and it's almost mutually exclusive with ugliness, but the stereotypes apparently don't bother incorporating that information. When you have information, why ignore it? Must be a neurotypical thing. |

I think if I were the Aspie wife in a conflict of love languages, I would want to be explicitly trained in the new system. "In situation X, try to do Y or Z even if I don't say anything. Let's both practice providing each other's favorite kinds of affection this week and keep a chart of our progress... |

Are you in a country or family situation where you can't get a divorce? o___0 I mean, normally I wouldn't encourage married people to separate, but she sounds like she has very serious issues to work through before she is ready for a serious relationship...yet she's been able to have one regardless ... |

Computer hardware doesn't sound useless; some people get college degrees in it, presumably because there are decent jobs available for computer hardware experts. |

I would be interested to know if autism influenced my musical tastes. It might explain why the way I classify and select music doesn't line up with existing genre systems. I seem to be listening for different characteristics than whoever it is that defines genres for widespread use. I am already fai... |

Some of my Aspie(??) traits have been driving me bananas lately (though the world drives me bananas more frequently/noticeably than anything internal). I wish I had workarounds. But being cured is unthinkable. If I weren't Myself, I'd have no incentive to stick around on Earth in first place. I wou... |

I look forward to seeing your results! :D I had an idea for a game about autism, but like all my other magnificent ideas, it's getting suffocated under my executive functioning issues. I can't play any game that requires me to be social (i.e. cooperate or compete in realtime) in order to advance. It's odd, I used to form parties with MMORPG players back in my teens, but I guess the social anxiety just gets worse the more bad experiences I accumulate. ^_^; The other strange thing ... |

xMistrox, I rerolled on one of the two remaining US-side crossrealm-free servers. Ravenholt and The Venture Co are RP-PVP yet physically isolated from other RP-PVP servers, so they haven't been integrated (yet). It seems pretty normal and healthy for an Aspie--and probably some neurotypicals--to be alone when they wish, even if that works out to be almost all the time. You might find gaps in your life, as I do, where it would really help to have a designated person to fulfill a specific role (for instance, ... |
