meatball4u and Shellbelle you both sound like interesting people. While I match the male aspie traits closer I'm interested in feminine perspectives. They match my worldview better. Many of the things I hate; violence, ego, and sexual perversion; are all masculine things. I believe the world would b... |

I don't play video games but I would probably always play the same way. I can't pretend to be anyone other than myself. I see violence in video games as abhorrent as violence in real life. As virtual reality becomes more lifelike violent video games become more dangerous. Eventually we could reach a... |

I believe most people, regardless of country, are good. The problem is that politicians and government leaders tend to be evil. No country has a system of government that deters this as far as I know. That said, the death penalty is the same as murder and you can't deter people from killing people b... |

The way I look at it is that someone was going to try banning abortion eventually and I just want the thing to run its course as quickly as possible. We tried banning alcohol 100 years ago. It didn't work. People didn't stop drinking, they just did it secretly and illegally. If abortion is banned it... |

Did they ever make Sam not a misogynistic creep? I heard there was an episode where he broke into a woman's room and watched her sleep. I've avoided the show entirely due to this. |

I watched the whole first 3 seasons. Season 2 was annoying as they started to get Shawn having crisis after crisis because Dr. Han tried to get him to another department than surgery. The seaosn 3 finale was annoying as the most popular character died of what seemed like an unlikely cause of death.... |

I'm over 6 feet and white and no women have ever shown interest in me. I have to start almost every conversation I participate in and I've been on one date in my whole life. Stereotypes don't always predict reality. |

When I see someone using the words "pretentious" or "preachy" that signals me to avoid them. They tend to be unsophisticated people or worse, cynical jerks. I'm sure there are people that use those words who don't fit those categories but in my experience they're in the minority. |

This thread hasn't been active since I posted and I'm worried it's because of me. A few weeks ago I made a post without really thinking about what its consequences would be because one of the people here made me angry. It's really out of character for me and I hope you can forgive me. I like most of... |

A few thoughts on the crying discussion above. Discovery is actually more realistic than TNG in that respect. In the face of some of the stuff that happens in TV shows most of us would break down and cry sometimes. Season 3 has the added stress of having arrived in a completely new century and havi... |

14. I despise this correlation yet I see it in many places. Cynicism is the enemy of progress. If you think people are all evil or that humanity can't improve then you'll do nothing to address social issues and nothing to make the world a better place. It's the people who are both intelligent and op... |

TNG and Voyager actually felt like they had very supportive roles for women Actresses . Capt Janeway , And 7 of 9 , helped me out in my lowest emotional days , They actually felt good to watch . Alittle sense of inspiation Representation is part of the point of Star Trek. Discovery has a nonbinary ... |

Though I prefer TOS, TNG, and Voyager as series the Deep Space Nine final season episode Chrysalis is among my favorites. Sarina is one of my favorite characters in the whole franchise. |
