As of age 18, not so far. I have heard that Aspies often feel older/more mature than their peers as kids and younger/less mature than their peers as adults, so we’ll see if that happens with me. |

I used to hiss when angry. When injured I also sometimes make an inhuman screech. |

Some people on the spectrum are apt to take OP's question a bit too literally. I can rephrase the question to allow for both literal thinking and for OP to get an answer: I have watched the movie Cars. The creators of Cars used aspects of real life people they knew to create the character. Some of ... |

According to TV Tropes, Janine from the Netflix adaption of The Babysitters Club is strongly implied to be on the autism spectrum, and I can totally see it. She speaks in a monotone, and physical contact even with her mother is shown to make her uncomfortable. When I watched the show, I found myself... |

I know I’m replying to an 8-year-old thread, but at any rate I think this is a decent theory. |

It's been better recently than it was initially. I’m just going to go ahead and say it: conservatives are far more prevalent than I would’ve expected for an autism forum. It’s not at all hard to find people on WP bitching about SJWs, political correctness, and so on. But still, there are plenty of ... |

I’ve on been here sporadically since June 2020, so about a year and a third now. For the first year or so of that, I rarely if ever seemed to post anything that got replies, but more recently I’ve participated in some more heated debates against other members in the forums. Though it’s not nearly en... |

I’ve consistently scored highly on IQ tests, but everyone I’ve ever met says that those are a load of hooey so I don’t know how much that’s really worth. At any rate, I do have very strong reading and writing ability, and am very knowledgeable about whatever my interests (read: obsessions) are. Howe... |

A lot of famous people find fame too much to handle. That's why a lot turn to drugs (part of it is having too much money but another part of it is being overwhelmed by the pressure). I know Aspies like to think that all NTs are all social extroverts that never get drained or tired from anything but... |

Not considerable difficulty except recently after the last few burnouts or breakdowns. In the past I was always an outsider if I was supposed to be part of a group and though for the first few months I was ok as I could mask my way through, after a while the bullying would start and I would be excl... |

I am not sure what that word means, sorry. Like, it’s not meant to be serious. In this case, only listing famous people that are obviously not autistic as opposed to ones we think might actually be on the spectrum— likely to make fun of how quick some people are to (non-professionally) diagnose peo... |

I think you're completely missing my point. I'm not talking about what I think. I'm talking about the perceptions of the majority of the general public. Mainstream culture is informed by what is effortlessly accessible to the general public, not some official organization. That is just the reality.... |

I’ve never felt myself really being judged by another autistic person that I’ve met. But I will admit to being quick to judge other autistic people I’ve met. The number one example that comes to mind is a girl I met at the summer volunteer program I’ve been doing for the past three years. I did not ... |
