I dont think in a high stress upsetting situation no one chooses to be quiet. It's just really difficult to find the proper response so we have no c... |

Yes, of course. Lack of sleep, lack of food, physical exhaustion, etc. all exacerbate meltdowns and overloads and general anxiety/stress. |

I have a serious problem when I talk to people with medium to strong accents. I always end up imitating them.
I also take on accents from films. I'll be talking with a slight British accent for days after seeing a British film. ^^ |

I was prescribed nasal oxytocin, two shots (don't remember how many micrograms) in each nostril twice daily for three weeks, for a study. I honestly could not feel any effect. I don't think it did anything. I would be willing to try again though. I like the idea. |

I'm curious as to what your or your child's first stims were.
Remember that some listed on the poll could be defined as another type of stimulation. This depends on why the stim is done. |

I think it is sort of like: ahs-pair-ger with a hard G. Yes, I believe that's the correct German pronunciation. I like it, personally, but use the semi-standard "ass-burger" pronunciation usually. Yes. "Proper" US pronunciation is "'æspɚgɚ," but the German would be something like "'ɑ... |

Could you do simple hygiene (hair brushing, tooth brushing, etc.) together and talk about something she's interest... |

I rock slightly while standing (sometimes)... I always thought it was normal. |
