I could never dump a treasured lifelong friend because of a difference of opinion, to me that would be Narcissistic, thinking the wo...

I know that this is a heavy subject for some people to respond to. But answering a question in a different thread triggered some bad memories. My Mom, sadly, seemed to hate me for whatever reason since before memory. She would only yell at me, and my Father, I suppose, but not my older brothers. She...

I had such a hard time with abusive family members that I hardly noticed what was going on anywhere else. Eventually I perceived that I was treated...strangely by others. I would try to lead, and nobody would follow. I would try to discuss some neat thing I read about, and people just stared at me. ...

In large part because the UK (and USA) have such powerful media, searching for the next ghastly story.
In large part because, when you lost your colonies, you lost much of your economic oomph.

Hello, all. I am an Atheist and have zero belief in anything like Creationism. The idea that we evolved from other animals intuitively makes sense. However, I do not see how anything like Evolution as currently proposed could have worked itself out in the currently accepted timeline of existence. I ...

Thank y'all for the helpful comments

While there is no 'cure' for Autism, I'm finding that hydroxyzine is helping me take the edge off of the otherwise intolerable anxiety and social phobia that I have felt.
